Violet's POV
"I'M DOING THIS!" I say frantically into the receiver as I shut the apartment door behind me. I feel totally like a different person right now and it feels like i'm about to do the craziest thing and I'm doing it tonight. "I'm definitely doing it!"
"You better do. What the hell have you been waiting for? Do that shit and be over it."
"I will" I reply. I've been on the phone with Liana, talking about William and, the little things that we do together and how well we get along sometimes even though we piss each other off other times.
I haven't really been able to define what William and I share but I know it's something special. A blind man would notice it because it's fucking obvious we want each but we're still holding back.
Liana wants me talk to him about it. It's just fucking lame to want to devour the bowl of an ice-cream that is staring at you and you wouldn't even touch it despite no one stopping you.
We almost kissed the other night, but we didn't. It's been days but we haven't said anything about that night. Now that Liana won't stop pushing my buttons, I think I'm ready to talk to him about it. When he comes home tonight. I'm doing it.
All I needed was just a little push and my impatient friend is doing that. I'm ready to face William and ask him the one question I've been wanting to ask him.
What are we?
It's hard to keep my mind off that moment we almost kissed. It's even hard to sleep most times.
It's time I set things straight between us. If he wants me, he should just have me already cos I want him more than anything right now. I fucking want him.
"Ok" Liana says.
I hang up immediately and proceed towards the bar counter. I pause and turn around when I hear a sound coming from the room-William's room. It's more like someone's voice than a mere sound.
Could it be him in that room? He doesn't come home this early. Not lately.
Then it clicks to me. What if there's a thief in the house? I should just run for my dear life now and call the police.
Relax! Relax!!
I quietly tiptoe to William's bedroom door and grip the door knob tightly, quietly twisting it. I slightly push the door open and peer into the room with my body pressing against the door.
My eyes scans the room and my gaze finally averts to the floor. It's Liam lying on the floor, gripping his head tight and groaning.
I cringe at the sight of William lying helplessly on the floor.
"William!" I yawp with panic, running to him and squat down beside him. "William!" I exclaim again, nervously. I grab him by the shoulder and he looks up at me, his eyes sorely red and puffy, almost looking like he's been crying.
Why would William be crying. I suddenly feel a sharp pain in my chest and it feels like I'm the one hurting, not William.
"Willie, What's wrong?" I ask, concern seeping through me as I cup his cheeks in my palms. He just stares at me obliviously, looking almost lost; with his chest rising and falling and I stare back at him; my eyes glue to his unblinkingly for a moment, then he looks away.
"Are you okay?" I ask and he pushes my hands away.
"I'm fine" he replies, trying to push himself up. He manages to sit on the bed, refusing my help and I just stand by and watch him in bewilderment.
"You can't say you're fine when I just saw you lying down there helplessly"
"I'm fine" he snaps.
"You should see a doctor. I'll go with you-"
