Johnny's P.O.V
I was getting Claudia up and ready to go to Braden's. Today, Christine and I are going to go to the doctor today and find out the sex of the baby. "Daddy, why can't I go?" Claudia asked as slipped on her purple coat. "Because Claude. Mommy and I have to take care of stuff, ok?" She nodded and kissed my cheek. She ran off to her room as Claudia came out of our bedroom dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. I smiled at her and she smiled back. "I'm really nervous." I looked at her. "Why are you nervous, baby?" I went over to her and wrapped my arms around her. "I'm scared to find out what the sex is...that's all." I kissed her forehead. "Don't be afraid, Christine." I put a hand on her belly and gave her a reassuring smile. "I love you." I whispered to her. She smiled at me and Claudia rushed in with her back pack on her back. "I'm ready to go to Aunty Braden's." She said grinning at me. I helped Christine put her jacket on and we all headed into my car. We dropped Claude off at Braden's and Christine and I were off to the doctor's office. We parked in the parking lot and she took my hand as I met her at the bumper of my car, and I slipped on some dark aviators. We walked in and sat down in the waiting room to wait for her name and she whispered. "What do you think it'll be, Johnny?" I shrugged. "I don't know, babe. Maybe a girl." She smiled and a nurse called her to the back.
We both went back there and the doctor told Christine to lay down and raise her shirt. She did as she was told and I saw the bump on her belly. She rubbed the blue gel and the camera on her stomach and I grabbed Christine's hand. We gazed at the screen and the nurse said, "There it is." I smiled and Christine looked at me. "Congratulations you two. In about five months you should be holding a baby boy in your arms. I froze up and said, " A boy, a baby boy?" She nodded as she cleaned up Christine's belly and the camera. "He's healthy, too." She gave me a smile and Christine looked at me crying with joy. We left the office and got into my car and the first thing that popped into my head was the dream that I had last night. The dream of Lance.
