Chapter 1: A New Beginning
Princess Jenna, or now known as Queen Jenna has been crowned queen 6 months earlier. Jenna has been listening to the problems of her subjects, if these problems required a judge she sent them to a relaxed courtroom ruled by the ghost of Alice Nettles.
Jenna soon got tired of listening to her peoples' problems and decided she needed a week off. She notified her people, then wanted to hangout with Septimus. Septimus took a day off from the Wizard Tower and met Jenna by the Great Arch.
Once Septimus arrived, Jenna and Sep walked down Wizard Way and window shopped. While walking, Sep asked "How's queen life?" Jenna pulled a face and replied "It's ok not as exciting as all of our adventures with Wolf Boy, Spit Fyre, you, me, and Bet"-- Jenna caught herself but Sep already heard. "Did you say Beetle?" Sep asked even though he knew the answer. "Yes" muttered Jenna, she began to blush a tomato red. Sep was grinning ear to ear, "You know, you should tell Beetle how you feel about him." Jenna turned on Sep so fast the Sep shrunk back, "You don't know how I feel." Sep stepped up again, "You don't need to tell me, I already know. Everyone knows you guys are perfect together except you two." without thinking Jenna blurted "Beetle likes me?", knowing what she did, Jenna covered her mouth as if by doing so she could take back her words. Septimus started laughing so hard that he fell to the cobbled street crying. A crowd began to form around them and Jenna embarrassed tried to haul Septimus to his feet unsuccessfully. "Sep! You're making a scene, get up!" Jenna hissed.
Finally Sep regained his composure, stood up then wiped off the dust from his robes. When they started walking away from the crowd, Sep turned to Jenna and whispered in her ear "Of course he likes you silly." Jenna surprised whispered back "What should I do?" Sep thought of an idea What if I set up a series of events to bring Beetle and Jenna together? After what looked like a moment of puzzling to Jenna, Septimus said, "Ask him to dinner at the palace." Jenna not wanting to surprise Beetle told Sep "Ok alright but can you check with Beetle that he likes me?" Sep, knowing where this was going agreed grudgingly, Great i'm going to be the messenger between these two lovebirds. Feeling as if Sep was in a soap opera replied "Meet me at the Great Arch tomorrow afternoon, ok?" "Yeah, sounds great. Bye Sep!" Then with a wave Jenna was gone, lost in the crowd. Sep was left with a giddy feeling. With a new spring in his step, Sep walked purposefully on to the Manuscriptorium.
A/N: Hope you like it so far, it is going to get more exciting (romance drama wise)
