Chapter 25: Letters

Jenna woke up with a sore neck. She looked around, she fell asleep on her desk while trying to make preparations for the party. Septimus and Jenna were planning a birthday party. Jenna looked at the papers she crumpled with her face.

Congratulations! You have been invited to the royal wizard birthday party of Jenna and Septimus. Please arrive at evening tide sharp. Accommodation will be provided just bring your own necessities. We look forward to seeing you.

Jenna thought the letter was too formal, but her mother forced her to sound queenly even if the letters were only to her friends.
Speaking of which Jenna remembered she needed to write the invite list.
Definitely Beetle, Septimus would want Rose to come, and Foxy is a great friend too. What about Wolf boy, now actually Marwick? Ah but the forest Heaps wouldn't want to miss the party would they?
Jenna sighed and just ended up sending invites to everyone.
Jenna looked up at the clock, it was almost midnight. She felt a strong urge to go see Beetle but washed away the feeling. Beetle made her feel... special. She has always been the special one, the purple eyes in a swarm of green, the lone heiress, the princess, the queen. Now, she felt a different kind of special, a special type of love. Not like the affection she received from Silas or Sarah. This was romantic, desire ridden.
Jenna understood the consequences of being reckless with these emotions, but she didn't know how to control them. This was all new, she couldn't have been told the emotion, it was a must feel moment.
Whenever Beetle was near her, her stomach felt as if there was 100 butterflies in her stomach. Her head felt like it was about to burst, her heart pumped faster.
Jenna dreamed of Beetle until she fell asleep, not even able to pull herself into her bed.
A gentle whisper could be heard from between the crumpled wads of paper scattered on the desk.
"I love you.."
