Chapter 20: Confrontation

Marcia had arrived in her living room with Marcellus. Like any gentleman, he held the door open for Marcia and hung her cloak on the purple coat hanger. Marcia began to scavenge the fridge for some late night snacks when Marcellus put a hand on her shoulder.

Marcellus had both hands on her shoulders and to turn her around. The yogurt Marcia had in her right hand was placed on the kitchen counter, cast aside. Marcia looked into his eyes, they were lovely and caring. His eyes melted her heart into a puddle. Marcellus looked into her brilliant emerald green eyes. They shown brightly through her purple attire.

Marcellus didn't know if he was going to fast but Marcia was hurting she needed something to cheer it up, but was it him? Marcellus needed her, to see her happy, to see her beautiful smile. He closed his eyes and leaned down to meet her full lips in a kiss. Their lips were about to meet, Knock Knock. Marcia opened her eyes and removed herself for his embrace to reach the door. Marcellus was feeling awkward and alone.

The purple door swung open to present a stoney faced Beetle and Jenna. "Come in, come in." Marcia noticed the scared gray pale faces and instantly knew they were bearers of bad news. "What happened?" Marcia lead Beetle and Jenna to the middle of the room and sat them down on the couch. Marcia had the kitchen make four cups of tea.

Marcia brought over the steaming cups to Beetle and Jenna then pulled over two chairs more Marcellus and herself to sit in. Marcellus said he had to go but Marcia sat him in the chair with tea in his hand. Marcia finally sat down with her teacup. She took a sip then looked at every one, "Spill."

Jenna reached for Beetle's hand discretely but everyone noticed. Marcia eyed their interlocked finger and deducted that they were more then friends now.

"Well... um... MilobandaisasexualpredatorandtriedtoassultSnorributshewasreadyandpinnedhimdownthensheandNickobroughthimtothePalcewhereBeetleandIwereeatingdinnerandnowhe'slockedinthedungeonuntilIdecidewhattodoaftertellingyouwhichiswhatIamdoingnow." The words rolled off Jenna's tongue as if they had been waiting to be release, and frankly Jenna has been wanting to get the words out of her mouth.

Marcia sat open mouthed, trying to wrap her mind around what Milo had done. Milo tried to rape Snorri? She couldn't believe it. I mean yes he took advantage of me a grown woman but preying on children was below Milo, at least I thought it was...

"I can't. I mean. How?" Marcia was lost for words, caught between her own emotions and rational thoughts. Marcellus reached for her hand. This time it was Jenna's turn to notice a more than friends relationship.

"They should know the whole story Marcia. It's best they hear it from you first" Jenna could her the emotion in Marcellus' voice and knew there was more than one offense Milo had made. "Marcia tell us."

Once again, Marcia launched her story about the one night affair. Beetle and Jenna were shellshocked. Milo was able to get Marcia to have a romance with him. This was serious.

"What should we do with Milo?" Marcia didn't know what to do, but Jenna was looking up towards Marcia. She had to be strong. "He should get a normal court ruling like every other equal citizen. We have proof that he is guilty so he will be prosecuted as guilty. After that we should send him away and never allow him to return." Marcia thought this sounded reasonable but wondered if Jenna thought it would be logical.

Jenna racked her brain for options but this seemed the most appropriate. "As Queen I second your decision." She looked around to see if anyone objected but no one did. Beetle straightened his posture and stated, "As Chief Hermetic Scribe I third the ExtraOrdinary Wizard's opinion." Finally Marcellus came from the seemingly dark corner where he had been sipping his tea quietly and stood up to say, "I fourth the decision as the Castle Physician"
