Chapter 16: Marcia Mayhem

Marcia was fast asleep in her bed. Her dark waving hair surrounded her head. Marcia hand twitched, she started to mumble, her leg kicked. Marcia rolled over, her nightmare began.

Marcia was in a windowless room it was pitch black only one ray of light in the distance. There was a silhouette inside the light. A voice echoed in the room. "Marccccciaaaaaa..... I know you're there. You can try using magic, but you're powerless against me."

Marcia looked down at her hands but she only saw darkness. She tried calling light but none came. She truly was powerless. "Darling come to me. I love you. You are gorgeous. Babe come out and play" Marcia felt like she was going to throw up. Milo. Oh Milo leave me alone she thought. "Why can't you leave me alone!" Marcia didn't realize she had said that a loud.

"Oh Marcia, darling. I thought you had gone. Oh babe you're gorgeous!" Milo approached Marcia but as he reached out to brush her cheek she slapped the hand away. "So you want to play rough today?" Milo pounced on Marcia like a hungry tiger. Marcia fell to the ground she tried to roll him off but he was too strong. "Help! Help!"

Septimus just finished cleaning the library when he entered Marcia's room to tell her. She must be up by now he thought. "Marcia I finished cleaning the libr-" he stopped he thought he heard something. "Help! Help! The voice was faint and just audible.

Septimus knocked on Marcia's bedroom door, "Marcia are you ok?" When Marcia didn't answer Sep opened the bedroom door a crack and poked his head in. Her covers were thrown all which ways. It looks as if she was having a blind wrestling match with her sheets, and she was losing. Septimus began to untangle the many blankets that seemed to be constricting Marcia.

Marcia felt Milo's constricting grip on her loosen and she could breath again. She looked at her clothes, her purple pajamas were torn at from Milo and also wrinkled and sweaty. Where did Milo go? He seemed to disappear.

Marcia began to stir from her dream. Marcia's arms lifted themselves from under the blankets and slowly reached her face where they wiped the sleepies as Sep called them, out of her eyes.

When her emerald green eyes opened they met Sep's equally green eyes. "Ghaww!" Marcia pulled her covers up to her chin in a panic. The blankets however were still twisted around her body, she crashed to the floor in a heap of blankets. "Wha raw wu doin?" Marcia's voice was distorted under the mess of blankets. "I heard you calling for help and came to help." Sep replied.

Sep stepped over the blankets and gently picked through them until he saw a strand of Marcia's hair sticking out. As Marcia crawled ungracefully out of her mess Sep looked worried. What could cause Marcia to cause such a fuss? "I will go make some dinner for us" Septimus left the room to allow Marcia to pick herself up off the floor and regain her normal composure.

When Sep closed the door Marcia burst into a silent sobbing fit. Why couldn't she get Milo out of her mind. The dirty creep can't and won't leave me alone! Once Marcia and released her tears she blew her nose and Dry spelled her wet face, erasing all clues that she had been crying.

She applied her small amount of makeup and checked herself in the mirror. She looked decent, who was going to look closely. It was just Septimus who she loved like a son. As she opened her bedroom door to step into the living room she spotted an unexpected guest talking to Septimus. Marcia quietly closed her door and let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. Oh my goodness!
