Chapter 13: Tell Me

Marcia was lucky that she wasn't pregnant. She could've been responsible for Milo's baby, which would be Jenna's step sibling. What a strange thought... Marcia didn't want anything more to Milo, she shuddered.

She immediately sent the test down the rubbish chute hoping that no one will ever find out. A knock on the door startled Marcia. She opened the door and to her surprise found Marcellus.

Marcellus immediately said "I'm sorry for what Milo did to you." Marcia began to notice her eyes were watering "I promise to keep this secret but tell someone." Marcia broke out into tears like a dam bursting. Marcellus closed the door and pulled her into a hug.

Marcellus' touch was friendly and gently. Milo's had been rough and lustful. Once Marcia calmed down between sniffles she asked "Marcellus?", "Yes?" Marcia paused thinking of how to word it, "How come we have never been friends?" Marcellus was surprised and honestly didn't know. "Maybe we were to busy fighting over Septimus? Or we just had never thought we had time to make friends." Marcia had her own answer, "Or because we need fully met each other."

During the bonding sessions Marcia told Marcellus what happened between her and Milo last night. Marcellus wondered why Marcia wasn't pregnant, it was the right time for her to get pregnant, and she was still able to have offspring. Unless Milo was the one who couldn't father children. That would explain how he has had so many affairs with women and never had a baby as a consequence for his actions. But if that was true who was Jenna's father? Marcellus thought.

Marcellus and Marcia were sitting on the Marcia's new couch when Septimus just walked in on them. Before realizing Marcellus was there Sep said "Marcia, do you know where I could find-" but he then saw Marcellus. He became embarrassed and excused himself but Marcellus rose. "It's fine Septimus. I have to leave anyways, good luck with your studies." Once Marcellus was at the door he turned back to glance at Marcia and said "Goodbye Marcia" and winked before he shut the door.

Sep was happy that Marcia was making friends but knew that Marcellus wants to care and love Marcia. He doesn't know how that relationship would work. Marcellus has eternal youth and life. If Marcia and him get married and have kids, Marcellus would stay young and live on as his family aged and died. In fact Marcellus would watch everyone die....

Sep shuddered and noticed that Marcia had already started to busy herself. Septimus knew something was bothering her. Sep grabbed her arms and looked her in the eye, he was almost as tall as her now. "Marcia are you ok?" "I'm fine thank you!" Marcia snapped. "You can tell me Marcia. I promise I won't tell anyone. You can trust me."

Marcia looked away tears swelling in her eyes. She looked back at Sep and tears ran down her face. "I can't tell you now, it's too much. I need to regain my composure." "Marcia you can't keep your tough act all the time ,let me help." Marcia ignored him and sat on the couch again.

Septimus made a cup of tea for Marcia and placed it in front of her. "Go take a nap Marcia you look exhausted." Marcia was indeed exhausted. Her body ached where Milo had been and her emotions crashed against her skull with the force of a surging wave.
