Chapter 3: Clueless
While Septimus was walking with Jenna, Marcia was in her room alone. Marcia was ok with letting Septimus off for the day. He's a hard working apprentice she told herself. Marcia heard a knock on the door, she checked to see who it was. As Marcia opened the door she found herself face to face with Milo. Marcia fought the urge to blush, she disguised her surprise with a bit of annoyance. "Hello Milo, what are you doing here? " Milo didn't care or notice enough to look disappointed he said "Hey Marcia are you going anywhere tomorrow night?" Marcia was taken back, she didn't know how to respond for a minute. Milo stood patiently waiting still with a smile plaster on his hopeful face. Marcia finally regained her train train of thought, she replied with a little doubt, "I have no plans for tomorrow night, why?"
Marcia, who didn't think that Milo's smile could get any wider was proven wrong, Milo beamed with happiness. Milo made his next move, "Would you like to go out to diner with me then?" Marcia now seeing where this was going let a small smile out, only for a second though, "Yeah. sure." Milo jumped with joy and ran down the stairs of the Wizard Tower two at a time. Marcia was surorised at this childlike display but felt relieved that she could now relax. Oh what to wear? Marcia thought as she closed her door.
