Chapter 26: Brainstorming

As Beetle was dealing with a confused old woman, not understanding the shipping fees, Foxy tapped his shoulder. Beetle excused himself from the old lady, he turned to Foxy a bit of gratitude in his voice.
"I'm glad you came when you did, that old lady would forget everything I explained to her about shipping within 2 minutes. Now what's up?" Foxy said nothing but handed Beetle a red envelope that smelled suspiciously like fresh shampoo... Jenna...
Beetle snatched the envelope with an embarrassed greed. His eyes caught Foxy staring at the envelope with a coy smile on his face. Beetle opened his envelope anyways and was grateful to be invited to the party. "I got an invitation too."
Beetle saw that Foxy was just as happy as he was. Foxy was a great friend, Beetle appreciated Foxy. Beetle knew that he could tell Foxy, and Septimus, any secrets, any at all.

Septimus received a letter from Rose in the morning before he tended to chores. The starch white paper reminded him of Rose. She was always kind and sweet, clean from all crimes, the poster child of innocence at its best form.

I got a letter in the dark early morning, from Jenna and you (most likely just from Jenna) about the party. Of course i'd love to go! Only if you will be there, but then again why wouldn't you be at your own party.
I was thinking about that talk we had about Jenna and Beetle some days back. What if pushed them in the right direction, towards each other, at the party? It's just a thought.

Septimus smiled as he thought of the situations that Jenna and Beetle could be coincidently thrown into. He imagined that Rose had these same ideas too. Septimus wrote his ideas silently in his head. Septimus smiled to himself.

Hopefully I will be able to churn out a couple of more chapters before life gets busy again.
