Freezing Rain lifted her nose into the air. She could still smell Minnow's scent, but faintly. She turned to the left hoping to have her scent be stronger. She let out a gasp. Blowing Wind stopped right next to her. "What's wrong? Did you find Minnow?" He asked. Freezing Rain simply shook her head. "What is it then?" Freezing Rain turned to him, eyebrows furrowed. "I think I smell...Vladimir?" Blowing Wind laughed. He took a big whiff of the air. He raised his eyebrows. "Wait...what? Vladimir?"

"I think he's been through here. Maybe he's following Minnow's scent in order to catch up with us?"

Blowing Wind shrugged. "Maybe. I dunno though. Why would he be following her?"

"Blowing Wind," Freezing Rain replied, annoyed. " She's a part of the group too you know. Just because we pissed her off doesn't mean that she's no longer in the pack. "

"Well, we will never know unless we find him. Let's follow his scent. It's a bit newer than Minnow's. Plus once we find him we might also find Minnow. He might've found her, and she decided to stick with him." Blowing Wind suggested. It makes sense. I really do want to find Minnow and apologize for how I acted. Also, it's like killing two birds with one stone. I've been wanting to find Vladimir for a long time. Blowing Wind saw her considering the idea. Eventually, she nodded. "Ok, let's find Vladimir. I'll fly to see if I can spot him from above. You follow his scent. Hopefully, we'll find him faster this way."

"Why can't I fly?" Blowing Wind complained. Freezing Rain chuckled. "Because. I'm faster and have been doing this longer. Just put your muzzle to the ground a sniff."

Blowing Wind groaned. "Fine." Freezing Rain smiled and jumped up into the air. Spreading her wings she looked down below, looking for orange and black stripes. Oh Vladimir, where are you?

Vladimir opened his mouth, letting the scents touch the roof of his mouth. He knew he was lost. What he didn't know was why. Vladimir knew he was good at tracking. He was a hunter. He had to be good. Vladimir had to rest multiple times because Freezing Rain and Blowing Wind were flying too fast for him to keep up. He knew had passed out for a few hours to regain some energy and the next thing he knew Freezing Rain's scent was whisked away by the wind. His heart started beating fast. He had no idea where they had gone. He made the best move and started moving straight. He had walked for a few hours when Minnow's scent came to his nose. Minnow! I bet she's with Freezing Rain and Blowing Wind! I can find my friends!

The bad thing was the Minnow had gone in circles so many times, that Vladimir could only find her scent. Not Freezing Rain's nor Blowing Wind's. He figured that if she was lost too, so if he could find her then they both could work together to find the rest of the "pack". Vladimir laughed. I'm a tiger. Why am in a group? We tigers are solitary animals. It hit him like one of those silver-furs. He was in an unknown area. He needed Freezing Rain and Blowing Wind to help him get home.

Vladimir closed his mouth. He had found Minnow's scent. Keeping it in his brain he moved forward. He just had to find Minnow. There was no other option. He was lost. In a forest. Tigers don't belong in forests! He let out his pent up frustration in a loud roar. A flock of birds flew out of the trees.

A few hours passed when Vladimir realized how tired he was and he settled down for a good night's sleep.

Minnow ran out of the clearing. Hoping to find Freezing Rain and Blowing Wind so that she could apologize. She decided her best bet was to follow her scent and just hope that they weren't too far behind. She barked, the medium-pitch bark betraying her usual high-pitched yip. Hopefully, they heard that and know where I am. She ran as fast as legs could go, hating that she didn't have any wings. Suddenly her stomach rumbled. Shit. I need food, but I don't want to veer off course...Screw it! I'll eat after I find them. She picked up her pace tongue lolling. All she heard was her own breathing, and all she felt was her own stomach clenching in hunger.
