Minnow curled up into a ball. She sobbed her eyes out. It was mean to kill other wolves for no reason. But I do have a reason. I have to protect my family. I have to protect my pack. She fell asleep with this thought circling in her head. What she didn't know is that the wolf that her no-furs locked away was starting to escape.

"Hey Minnow! Time to get up!"
She blinked a few times. She didn't realize that her one hour nap turned into a seven-hour nap. She stretched. Her muscles weren't as sore as she thought it would be. Getting up she padded out of the cave.
"Morning."
"Morning. You ready for some more training?" Blowing Wind looked at her with soft eyes. "It's ok if you're not. You're not used to fighting."
"Well, that's good because I am. I won't be soft like I was yesterday. I have to be strong. I have to protect you and Freezing Rain."
Blowing Wind blinked. What was the strange creature that took over Minnow? Was she becoming a wolf? Did the wolf break free?
"What made you change your mind?"
"I realized that I did have something to fight for. I'm not going to be killing for no reason. I will be fighting for you and Freezing Rain."
"Well, I'm glad you figured that out." Blowing Wind walked back into the cave. "Freezing Rain-sweetest- you have to get up and help train with Minnow."
He didn't hear or see anything. He started to pad into the cave when he felt a heavy weight on him. He unsheathed his claws and started to claw at what was on top of him. Using the muscles in his forepaws he heaved the animal off. He stood there growling, hackles raised.
"Who attacked me?" He heard whimpering. It sounded familiar. He turned to see Freezing Rain covered in scratches. "Oh, gods! I'm so sorry! What can I do to help you?"
Freezing Rain laid down. Whimpering she said "Cobwebs. Get cobwebs to stop the bleeding." Blowing Wind looked towards Minnow. "Don't just stand there get the cobwebs!"
Minnow nodded and ran off to find cobwebs. While she did that Blowing Wind stood by Freezing Rain's side. "I didn't mean to hurt you. I swear to the gods on my life I didn't." Freezing Rain smiled. She knew he would never hurt her. She was trying to show Minnow what a good tactic was. She never meant to startle Blowing Wind.
"It's ok. It was my fault. I should've told you what I was planning. That way you would've known and sheathed your claws." Just then Minnow came back with cobwebs in her mouth and paws. "What should I do now?"
Freezing Rain heaved a sigh of embarrassment. It wasn't that hard to figure out. "Put them on all of my wounds. Why else would I want them? To eat?"
Minnow blushed. She immediately started to place them on each of her wounds.
Freezing Rain looked at what she was doing. "Push them hard. They are meant to stop the bleeding. "
Minnow did as she was told. Something was nagging her at the back of her mind. How would wolves know this? Was it instinctual or did they learn it over times?
"So....how do you know this?"
"Um let's see I've been hurt before. I had to learn how to take care of wounds or die from blood loss. It would be kinda embarrassing if I died from tripping into a bunch of cactuses don't you think?"
"Yeah. So now what do I do?"
"Nothing. Now I just needed to rest. You and Blowing Wind can train. I can direct you, or Blowing Wind can attack you and direct you if you want."
