He heard the sniffling stop. "You ok? And don't say yes. It was rhetorical. I know you're not."

Minnow laughed quietly. "How'd you know?"

"Hm. Let's think. You ran away into the cave and found the deepest darkest corner to hide in. That's not normal Minnow behavior."

"Why did you come find me?"

"Because I have a feeling you don't believe that you're forgiven."

"I can't be forgiven! What I did was unforgivable! I hurt Freezing Rain even more! I can't forgive myself for what I did."

Blowing Wind gave her his most sympathetic look he could. He knew that this little pup blamed herself for Freezing Rain's mistake. Though it couldn't be helped. Wolves never really associate themselves with no-fur pups. The stench of no-furs is disgusting. And it's overwhelming for the pups.

"Hey. We've never dealt with pups like you. Most pups are wolves. They don't have locked up wolves inside of them. Their wolves are already out of the cage. We don't know what will happen if you get too mad or upset. It's not your fault you hurt her. It's hers for making you that mad ok?"

Minnow nodded. She wasn't sure of what Blowing Wind was saying was true or not. He could be lying to her face just to cheer her up. She laid down and whined. She couldn't believe anyone right now. What she did was beyond cruel. It was villainous. What she did was so bad that only a villain would do. She couldn't get any worse than that.

"Sure."

Blowing Wind heard hesitancy in her voice. He didn't believe her. She probably doesn't believe me either. She probably thinks I'm telling her lies.

"Hey. I'm telling the truth here. Do you trust me? Do you trust me to always tell the truth?"

Minnow looked up into his eyes. "I can actually answer that with a yes. I do trust you. I will always trust you. You're like my dad."

Blowing Wind started to tear up. I can't believe it. She called me her dad! To him, he thought that he was the least likely to be dead. He was a weird flying wolf that learned how to fly five thousand one hundred ten suns ago. Mainly the weirdest thing about him was the fact that he had wings! I mean what animal besides birds have wings? None! That's why he was so weird.

"I'm glad that you think of me like that. You don't know how much it warms my heart to hear it. Freezing Rain would be so happy to hear that you are getting accustomed to us so quickly!"

Minnow blushed. She couldn't believe that she said such a sappy thing. There couldn't be anything sappier. "Really? Are you trying to embarrass me?" Blowing Wind creased his eyebrows. Like he said he had no idea on parenting, so he didn't know how to really take care of her. Besides she was actually full grown. She just didn't have the necessary skills that are needed to live in the wild.

"I'm sorry. I don't mean to embarrass you. Don't forget, I'm just like you. I'm in the exact same position. I'm just older."

Minnow turned her head. She didn't know that Blowing Wind was going through the same thing she was. Minnow thought that Blowing Wind was just like Freezing Rain, some wolf who knew everything there was to know about being a wolf. A flying wolf at that. Just then a thought hit her.

"Hey, has Freezing Rain taught you how to do maneuvers in the air?"

"No." Blowing Wind gave her a very confused look. "I don't even think she knows any. Do you?"

"A little bit. Most of them come from living so close to the machines that fly."

"Hm. There are advantages to living and seeing the machines that no furs made."
