Chapter 16 -
"Caitlyn, what's going on?" Jake grabbed me.
"No time to explain," I pulled Jake's arm and threw the fedora and sunglasses to him.
"Caitlyn?" Megan looked at me and Jake.
Jake put on the hat and shades, his back to Megan.
"Hi, Megs," I answered nervously.
"What are you doing here?" Megan looked at me and then Jake.
"I just wanted to introduce you to my boyfriend," I lied.
"How did you know how to find me here?" Megan asked.
Suddenly, Jake's phone started ringing. Dylan smirked from behind Megan.
"Hello?" Jake said, disguising his voice.
Megan opened her mouth to speak again when Jake cut her off.
"Sorry to cut you off, but we really have to get going. It was nice meeting you!" Jake shouted, dragging me into the elevator.
Megan gave me a confused look. I shrugged my shoulders, pretending I had no clue what was going on.
As soon as the elevator door closed, we started busting out laughing.
"That could not have been any closer," I grabbed my sides from laughing so hard.
"I'm gonna miss that laugh," Jake smirked at me.
"And I'm gonna miss that cute smirk," I blushed.
"You think I'm cute?" Jake laughed.
I nodded as we ran out of the elevator and into Jake's car again.
Jake started the car and then looked over at me.
"What?" I tilted my head.
"Nothing," Jake smirked.
"Tell me!" I punched Jake playfully on the arm.
"Nope," Jake started backing up the car.
"Please?" I made a pouty face.
"You'll have to wait and see," Jake said.
