Chapter 9 -
I walked back inside, closing the door behind me. I slowly walked over to the couch and sat down.
"Well, that was awkward," I said to myself.
"Yah. Sorry about that," Megan came in and sat down beside me.
"That's okay. Where's your date?" I asked.
"He left," Megan replied.
"Oh," I answered.
We sat there quietly for what felt like a long time.
"So, how did your date go?" Megan asked, turning on the tv.
"Josh Hutcherson was found with this girl earlier this evening," the tv announcer stated.
I snatched the remote just as the picture of me and Jake came up and I turned the tv off.
"My date went well-" Megan cut me off.
"Hey, what was that for?" Megan glared at me.
"I. I uh. I'm sick of watching the Gossip Channel," that was partially true.
"Uh huh," Megan said not believing me.
"Wow! I'm wiped," I said casually walking over to my bedroom door.
"Wait! Did you guys kiss?" Megan stopped me.
I just smirked at her, winked, and walked into my room and closed the door.
