liam had been acting different lately. he wouldn't call you at night like he usually did, he wouldn't text back and he was always 'busy' when you wanted to make plans. you started to notice that he would purposely avoid you in the halls at school too. you finally decided to ask him why he was ghosting you. "liam!" you said running up to him after school. "oh.. hey y/n." his voice sounded different than it usually did. his usual happy toned voice now sounded sad and almost weak. "can we please talk?" you asked. "can we talk later? i'm late for lacrosse practice." "you don't have practice on thursdays, stop trying to avoid me." you said lightly frowning. he sighed and walked to your car with you. "what's up?" he asked. "what's wrong with you? you don't answer my calls or texts and you've been avoiding me. i'm starting to think you don't want to be my boyfriend anymore." you said looking down at your shoes. his body tensed up as he looked at you. "it's not like that y/n. i'm just going through something right now." he knew he couldn't tell you that just two weeks ago he was bitten by scott mccall. he wasn't ready to tell you about the changes he's been going through. he wanted to tell you when the time was right. "liam whatever you're going through, you're not alone. i'm always here and you know that. you just have to let me know what's wrong." he looked at you with sad eyes before answering. "i can't tell you, not yet anyways." you nodded and grabbed his hand. "tell me whenever you're ready okay? but please stop ignoring me. now let me drive you home." he smiled at you before getting into the passenger seat of your car. you rubbed your thumb over his knuckles. "i love you liam." "i love you too y/n."
