Here we lie at his final resting place, to honor his life, his achievements, his failures, his sacrifices, his family, and his legacy. To me, he was my best friend, to others he was, a brother, a father, a fighter, a political rival to everyone, a friend to many, a lover to one, an enemy to many, and a power house unlike the world had ever seen. I remember growing up with Jack, before everything became complicated. He had one life goal, and that was to change the world. I look around the world today, and I see many people who he affected and touched, and I would say that he did achieve his life calling, in ways he may never have expected. As his best friend allow me to recount some of Jack's wildest adventures. I was by his side for nearly all of them, and I hope I can do justice to the story that I hope is told throughout time for the sacrifices he made validates its place in history. Let me tell you the story of one of the greatest sorcerers to ever walk the Earth. Let me tell you the story of my best friend, Jack Wilder."
Flashback
The first day back at school used to be an exciting day in the Wilder household. There was a time when the Wilder children would be looking forward to breakfast with the family, and the occasional visitor in the form of their childhood friends, but this year was different. Things had changed. Jack used to be a nonchalant teen, who carried himself with an air of strength that was respected by all who encountered him. The oldest Wilder child had a select group of good friends that had been around for most of his childhood, but very few of them new him or his secrets. They knewthe public persona of Jack Wilder, but they didn't know his story. Other than his name, most of his friends didn't really know much about Jack before he moved to the area a few yeard prior. For normal high school teenagers they would go to school, make friends, flirt with pretty girls, talk the big talk with their friends on where they were going in the world, and maybe even fall in love. Jack envied these people more than anything else in the world. He had secrets to keep; he had to protect himself and his little brother. It was all that mattered now. The secrets he kept now came with a price he was unprepared to pay. Stress beyond belief and enormous amounts of pressure now set on the shoulders of the seventeen year old boy. Brody, Jack's little brother was his whole world now. His only surviving immediate family that he knew of. Brody and Jack had always been close, even before the accident, now the two were almost inseparable.
This was Jack's senior year of high school and things were not how he wanted them to be. He had a good life before his junior year. It was simple, it was easy, and it was stress free. Now hid world was on fire. The tragic events started with Jack's parents dying. Leaving just him and his little brother. Jack however had just turned 17 when his parents met their untimely demise. Thankfully in the state of Kentucky that made him a legal adult, and on the spot adopted his little brother. His dad had educated Jack in how to use his family lawyers to protect himself if the need were ever arise, but that wasn't the only thing that young man was educated to do.
Since Jack was a child he was trained in hand to hand combat, along with weapon to weapon combat. His dad was at one time a martial arts instructor, so that was how he excused the brutal training regimen that he put his sons through. At times Jack wondered if his father knew he was going to die young. He wondered if he trained his children so hard to prepare them for life without him. Jack would be able to finish raising his younger brother and make sure that they could survive if the need were to ever arise.
His dad was pretty well off financially. This meant that the Wilder children would be well taken care of over the next few years as they came into their own careers. The Wilder Patriarch had invested his money well and he brought in a stead income from the work he used to do in the military as a former member of the US Navy.
