Miho couldn't believe that maho had really left kouroromine. And that she was

transferring to ooarai. Maho had always seemed like the opposite of her, cold, steely,

fiercely competitive, all an act to protect her. They had had a few instances when maho had visited and they had talked like friends, but, for the most part, they were rivals and adversaries. Not anymore. Still, miho could tell it pained maho to have to transfer. She had left the room to tell her friend Erika to send her stuff to ooarai. Something else was bothering maho, miho was happy however that they had stood up to their mother, and now maho could actually have a chance to be happy and have fun. She was

determined to help maho become part of the group, and since the final match was also the end of the year, she had all summer to do it.

" yeah I can get your stuff to ooarai. Oh by the way. How is miho." Asked Erika, one of maho's closest friends

"She's fine, and thanks a lot, I would get it myself, but I don't want to run into my mother on the ship."

"Yeah no problem." Erika said "but im gonna miss you."

"Well, we can still meet." Maho said, almost crying.

"Yeah your right, well i will get your stuff." Erika said "bye."

"Thanks, bye." Maho hung up, feeling tears well up. As much as she despised how her mother ran the tankery class, and for that matter, how the whole school was run, she was going to miss Erika and her friends, and she still had had a lot of good times and good memories at kuromoromine . She had already filled out the transfer paper, and the student council president anzu had approved it. She was officially an ooarai student. She walked back into the hospital room. Miho had the look in her eyes that she wanted to talk.

"I know that look." Maho said as she sat down. " what's on your mind." "Why." Maho saw that her sister was deep in thought. "What?" Maho asked

"Why protect me for so long." Miho asked. Maho connected the dots, and suddenly realized what was going on. Miho feels guilty about me staying at kuromoromine

"Because I love you." Maho responded.

"Because I didn't want you to suffer the way I did. I didn't want you to follow the path I was going down, no matter how painful it was for me, to see you thrive made it all worth it." Maho said.

"But why put yourself through that." Miho asked

"Because I knew you would find your own destiny." Maho said

"And then what would you have done." Miho asked

"Well hopefully join you." Maho said.

"Well, I'm glad your here now." Miho said

"Thanks. That means a lot." Maho said. "And I'm sorry for the way I acted the past few years."

"Don't worry about it." Miho said. "This summer is going to be awesome. Oh, the doctor looked at the x rays and said that i'll be able to walk by the weekend,it is just a sprain." Miho said very cheerfully.

"That's awesome." Maho said.

"Yeah, and ill be able to go back to the ship tomorrow." Miho said extatic
