"So," I say awkwardly to Brandon. He nods. "Where did you move from?" I ask him, trying to start a conversation. "California," He says blandly. "That's cool," I try to sound interested. "So, I see that you've met Grayson and his friends," I attempt conversation some more. He nods again. "I-" I was about to start right as Mrs, Rodriguez walks in. "Alright Thalia, Brandon," We both stand up. "This routine is about really knowing someone. It's about falling in love and then losing that person. Do you understand?" She asks. "Yes ma'am," I reply as Brandon just nods. "Good, that's why as we learn the routine I would like for you two to get to know each other, hang out with one another. Can you manage that?" We both nod. "Great, now lets get started," The rest of the class stands up. "First ladies, stand on the left with fifth position legs and third position arms," Mrs. Rodriguez has everyone learn the routine so she can find an understudy. "Good, now turn and fall into a releve," She yells. "Point your feet Sophie," I keep holding the releve. "Perfect, now fade into first position feet and second position arms," We all do as told. "Great, that's all we're going to learn today ladies. Now onto the gentlemen," I walk over to Maddy, Sophie, and Sarah.
"Are you okay?" I ask Maddy before taking a drink of water. She nods. "I'm fine. Besides, there's gonna be a hip hop solo and I'm better at that anyway," We both laugh as we sit and watch the guys. "Loosen up Jaxson," Mrs. Rodriguez yells again. I watch as he does this twisty thingy and turns towards me. Our eyes meet. He rolls his eyes with a smile. I chuckle at him. "That's it for today everyone, you can leave now. But Thalia, Brandon. Go out, get some food, talk," I stop and nod before walking into the dressing room. I sigh and change. Now I get- no I have to go hang out with someone I know nothing about. Yay!
