Waking Up

The last thing you saw was the blinding light before you found yourself in a field out in the middle of nowhere. Your whole body hurt, and you where pretty sure that a couple ribs had broke during your fall. Getting up you looked around the field, at least what you could see of it. It was dark out, and your eyes had not adjusted yet.

You wanted to find Castiel, to make sure he was okay. Your first thought was to fly their, but you couldn't, you panicked for a moment, until you remembered that Metatron had stolen your grace along with Castiel's.

Since you could not fly to find Castiel you would have to find other means of transport. So you started to walk off, hoping to your father that some kind person would find you and help you.

You walked through the field, before finally reaching a dirt road. You looked both ways but saw no one. So you decided to walk down the road, hoping that you would find someone who could help you. You walked for what seemed like hours before someone finally drove down the road in your direction.

The vehicle was an old truck. A 77' Chevey Custom Delux pickup truck. The front end was a faded white with an orange stripe, the cab and bed was a rusted out blue. It's engine rumbled with a power that you would not have associated with its mismatched look. The driver was an older man with thinning grey hair, and a kind and tired smile. He pulled up to you and stopped his truck.

"Hello miss do you need a ride somewhere?" The kind old man asked you. You responded quickly hoping that the old truck could get you where you needed to go.
"Yes sir, I am in need of transportation to the nearest town. If you could take me there I would be very grateful." The old man smiled at you, you could tell that he had lived a hard life full of trials just by the look in his brown eyes.

"Why sure thing miss. Closest towns about half and hour that-a-way." He said as he pointed his finger in the direction you had came from. You looked back, a little mad that you had walked all that way just to be going in the wrong direction.

Walking around to the other side of the truck to get in. You smiled at the man as he began to drive towards the town. "Thank you for helping me sir." You said smiling brightly at him. "No problem miss... I'm sorry I did not get your name."

"Oh it's y/n." You said shyly.

"Y/n that a pretty name. My names Jason, nice to meet you." He said never taking his eyes of the road.

"Thank you Jason." You replied watching the fields pass by.

"So y/n how did you end up on this dirt road? If ya don't mind me asking?" He asked shooting you a small glance before returning his eyes to the road. You had not thought about what you would say if someone picked you up. You had no idea what to say, you knew that the truth was not going to work.

Unlike Castiel you understood humans just a little bit better, so you knew that the truth would make you look crazy. So you quickly came up with a lie.

"Oh I was out walking and I got lost." You said hopeing that Jason would buy it.
He looked at you skeptically before looking back to the road. "Okay. So y/n where are you from? Maybe I can just take you there instead of the nearest town."

You knew this man could not get you back to heaven, because as far as you knew Metatron had already bared the gates, there is no way you could get back in now. So you had to lie to Jason again. "I'm not from around here, but I was staying in town."

"Oh okay. Well we should be there in about twenty-five minutes." He said as he turned off of the dirt road onto a paved one.

You rode in silence for the next twenty minutes before Jason spoke again. "We are almost to town, about five minutes out now. Where are you staying at?" He asked. You had no idea where you would stay so you decided to go with the first motel in town.

"It's the first motel as your getting into town." You stated hoping that it was at least a nice motel.

Jason dropped you off at the first motel in town. Form the outside the motel looked run down, you really hoped it looked better on the inside.  Thanking Jason you got out of the truck and headed to the office to get a room. Thankfully your vessel had been caring money with her when you where invited in.

Walking up to the counter you saw a older woman behind the counter. She was short, with artificial blond hair, and greying roots. You waked up to the counter and cleared your throat to get the woman's attention.

"Yes, what do ya need?" The woman said as she turned to face you. She was quite rude to you, obviously she was not happy that you where bothering her.

"Um yes miss... Carla..." You said glancing down at her name tag to find her name. "I would like to purchase a room please." You said in a kind voice, you did not want to anger her anymore.

"Fine, one full or two?" She asked you in a huffy manner.

"Uhh... One?" You replied unsure what this Carla woman was talking about.

She raised a quizzical eyebrow at you, but did not question you on your hesitant reply. After paying for your room you left Carla and the office to head to your room.

The door to your room was in bad shape. The white paint was faded and chipping, the little brass seven on the door was slanted and turning green from lack of care.

Opening the door you where meet with the smell of stale cigarettes and something else you could not identify. The room itself was small, with a full sized bed in the middle. The bed was covered in a grey comforter that was at least clean. The carpet and the curtains where a dingy white, with multiple stains covering both surfaces. There was a door off to the side that led to a ridiculously small bathroom.

You walked into your small room, and sighed in defeat. The room was not what you where expecting. You felt funny, like you had no energy. So you decided that it would be best if you lay down for a minute. You laid down on the bed and fell asleep instantly.
