"Sam has feelings for you." Ezekiel suddenly stated, effectively cutting of your train of thought.

"What?" Was the only word you could utter after the shocking news. Sam had feelings for you? Could that be true? You? All these questions kept racing across your mind.

"Why would he have feelings for me? And what does that have to do with my current situation.?" You exclaimed. You were still trying to process everything.

"It means that he is more likely to understand you, and accept you." Ezekiel said. Maybe he was right, you thought. If Sam did have feelings for you then he would be more understanding of you.

"But what if he is not. He may believe that he does not really know me at all because of the lies I have told him. Telling the truth may drive him away." You were very afraid of that possibility. You did not think you could handle Sam hating you because you had lied to him.

"You won't know for sure till you tell him." Ezekiel responded confidently. But his assurance was not enough to convince you.

"Let just say for the sake of argument that Sam does understand, and he does not resent me. That still leaves Dean. He will be furious about it." That thought scared you, an angry and hurt Dean did not think, he just acted. He would most likely kill you for deceiving him, and hurting his brother.

"I do not believe Sam would let Dean do anything irrational." Ezekiel was very confidant about this. But you were not convinced that everything would be okay.

"I will think about telling them. But you have to promise me something." You would think about telling them, you were still to uncertain about what it could do to your relationship with the brothers to decide right away. "Promise me that you will let me tell them, on my own." You definitely did not want to be outed by another angel, that would pit the brothers against you for sure.

"I promise, I won't tell them anything." Ezekiel said. Then he walked out of the kitchen, leaving you all alone.

Your sandwich still sat on the table, but you had lost your appetite. There were to many thoughts racing through your mind, and none of them were any good. Events were playing out, ones where the boys hated you, and left you all on your own. The thought had left you to upset to eat. So you put your sandwich in the fridge so you could eat it later if you felt like it.
......................time skip........................

"Y/n this is Kevin, Kevin this is y/n. Now that you guys have met we got work to do." Dean had kindly introduced you to the young man in front of you. He was kinda short, well short compared to Sam and Dean. He also looked kind of crazy. His hair was unkempt, and his eyes were darting around, like he was looking for any danger.

"Hello Kevin, it's nice to meet you." You say sticking your hand out for him to shake. You had seen people do this in movies, it seemed like the right thing to do. He stared at you hand for a moment wary of coming any closer to you. Finally after a few moments of consideration he stepped closer and shook your hand. He looked confused and studied you for a moment before letting go and walking away.

"So what am I doing here" Kevin walked to the table, throwing a few questing looks your way.

"Well we need your help. The angels got evicted, and they are running amuck down here." Kevin looked at you again real fast before turning back to Sam who was still talking, oblivious to Kevin's glances at you.

You had no idea what his problem was. He seemed to be even more wary of you now and you did not understand why. Maybe you had said something wrong? Or did something to offend him. You were clueless.

"Y/n? Earth to y/n. You still with us?" Dean was waving his hand in front
of your face effectively cutting off your train of thought.

"Huh, what?" You had not realized that they were talking to you.

"You kinda spaced there for a moment." Sam chuckled. Distracting you again. You loved hearing him laugh, even just a little made your heart soar.

"I was saying that you and Sam are on case finding duty. It's about time for your first case don't you think?" Dean smirked at you as you processed this. You were going on a case!!

"Really!! You mean it?!" You were slightly bouncing around, unable to contain your excitement.

"Yep we think you are ready. You have made a lot of progress in your training." Sam said with a small smile. It did not quite reach his eyes but it was genuine.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!" You squealed as you ran to Dean to give him a hug. Then you turned to Sam. You ran over to him slightly jumping in his arms. He hugged you tightly. His warmth enveloped you. You felt giddy at the feeling of him holding you.

"Alright you two stop hanging on each-other, and get to it." Dean said through his laughter.

You and Sam broke apart. You instantly missed his warmth and wanted it back. But instead of hugging him again, you both walked to the table Kevin was sitting at, and started your research.

You were so involved in finding your first cases that you did not notice Kevin studying you from the other end of the table.
