That was the longest car ride you had ever had to endure. It was also the most awkward. The car was filled with an uncomfortable silence, there was no rock playing softly on the radio, and all attempts at conversation were short lived.

Sam eventually fell asleep after his failed attempts to fill the silence. That left you and Dean wide awake. Dean was still upset, his shoulders were tense, he had a death grip on the wheel, and his face was set in an emotionless mask.

You wished you could sleep, but the anger radiating off Dean kept you awake. So you sat there in the silence for the entire duration of the ride.

It was 1:50 am when you pulled into the little motel you were staying at. Dean parked the car and shook his brother awake.

"Go get us a couple rooms Sammy, y/n and I will unload the stuff." Dean said as he got out and made his way to the trunk.

You and Sam slowly made your way out of the car then left to do your respective jobs. You would have rather gone with Sam, Deans attitude was making you uncomfortable, and a little bit upset.

"Here." Dean tossed a bag at you just as you had gotten to the trunk.

"What's your problem?" You fumed as you tried not to drop the other bags he was tossing at you. He stayed silent, completely ignoring your question. He removed the rest of the bags and closed the trunk just as Sam came back from the motel office.

"They only had one room available, the rest are under repair, or taken." Sam informed you as he led the way to your room.

The door to the room was a faded yellow and the lock on the door was sticky. The key got stuck in the lock the first time Sam tried to unlock it. After several attempts he finally unlocked the door.

The inside of the room was just as run down as the door had been. There were two beds that had a soft yellow and blue comforter on them. Directly across from the beds was a couch that was to small for two people. In front of the couch was a small tv that looked like it had come right from the 1970's.

You followed Sam and Dean into the room and watched as they threw there bags on their beds. You figured that the couch would work well enough for your sleeping arrangements, so you made your way to it. You were stopped short by a hand on your shoulder. Turning around you were met with a pair of shining hazel eyes.

"You don't want to sleep on that thing, it'll hurt your neck. You can bunk with me." He said as he took your bag and tossed it on his bed. You blushed and followed Sam back to your shared bed, where you began unpacking.

"Hey Sam why don't you go get us some grub." Dean said. It was the first thing he had said since you had arrived.

"Yeah sure thing. Y/n you wanna tag along?" Sam asked you as he grabbed the keys to Baby.

Before you could even reply Dean was answering for you. "She looks tired. She should stay here, take a shower, get settled." Dean never once looked your way to see how you felt about it. You did want to go with Sam, you wanted to spend time with him. However Dean had a point. You were tired and in desperate need of a shower.

Sam's eyes darted your way before he nodded and walked out the door. Quitely shutting the door. A few seconds latter you heard Baby's engine roar to life. Then the sound faded as he left the parking lot.

The room fell into silence. Dean did not look your way. He flopped on his bed and grabbed the TV remote, turning it on and the volume up.

He was really starting to piss you off. He was giving you the cold shoulder and you had no idea why. You quickly decided you had enough. You marched over to the TV and turned it off before spinning around to face him.
