As I walked down the hallway, I came across a big, blue, bear. He had a sunflower sticking out the top of his head, and a tan stomach. Despite the fact I normally hated all things cute, this bear was the most adorable thing I had ever seen. To make it even better, he was wearing a maid's uniform.
"Uh, hi?" I greeted the bear, I didn't know if it could talk or not.
He made some bear noises, but I could collect that he said hello.
"I'm the new maid, do you know where I should start?"
He pointed his huge paw towards the kitchen, which looked absolutely horrendous.
"Thank you, uh-"
He made more grunts and such. I had no idea what he was trying to say.
"Anyway thanks again," I was acting so weird around these people (and bear) the evil atmosphere made me feel so small and good compared to that BlackHat guy.
I went to the kitchen. It was atrocious. There were plates piled up in the sink, and full trash bags lined the far wall. I couldn't even describe the smell coming from them. When I looked in the fridge, I saw a jarred head. I closed the fridge.
"I like these people," I mumbled to myself, even though the head confused me.
I started with the dishes, quietly humming songs to myself. I never had a phone, so I couldn't listen to music when I wanted to. When I was hanging around at the park and some people had music playing, I enjoyed it. They mostly played pop tuff like Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes, but I didn't mind it. Since I didn't have many options, I took those two artists and happily liked their music.
THe plates in the sink took me almost an hour, yet no one even passed the kitchen door. I guessed that wouldn't be an oddity, figuring how big this place was.
When I finished the wet part of doing dishes, I pulled a towel from the cupboard and started to dry them. After that, I took five minutes just trying to find out where the plates went. It was the shelf right next to the fridge. I should've figured that.
I wiped my hands on my clothes, and prepared myself to take out the garbage. The bags were so full I could almost see the food scraps, and other things I didn't recognize, through the plastic. I grabbed the first bag, and rushed out of the kitchen and out the door. I saw the neighbors had a dumpster in their driveway, so I shoved it in there. Thankfully, this time no robots tried to kill me.
I went back inside, and grabbed two bags this time. If there were eight bags, and I have three done, I only needed to take three more trips. I repeated the previous action the three needed times.
On my way outside with the very last bag, the plastic tore, and trash spilled all over the place.
"Crap" I whispered to myself, hoping my new boss wasn't nreaby. He didn't seem like a person who'd enjoy trash all over the floor.
I started to shovel it back into the bag with my hands, which felt absolutely disgusting. Down the hall, I heard footsteps, so I turned around to make sure it wasn't BlackHat.
It was Dr.Flug, that was a relief. "Oh, hi Dr!" I pretended that I wasn't using my bare hands to put food scraps into a broken trash bag.
"Y/N? Why are you touching the garbage?"
"Well, the bag broke, and I couldn't just leave it, so I was just trying to-"
He had walked over and started to help me grab all of the trash. In the middle of shoveling, we reached for the same area and our hands brushed. At first, I didn't think anything of it, so I went for a different bit, but when I looked over at Flug, he was somehow blushing through his paper bag. I shrugged it off, and picked up the back, closing up the hole.
"Uh, thanks for that. But don't you have better, more evil things to do than be polite and help me pick up trash?"
"I actually don't have anything to do, and, well, I'm not that interested in being evil. I just like inventing stuff, and BlackHat let's me live here in exchange for me helping him, so it's a win-win situation,"
"I guess that's good. I signed up for this job because the ad sid the word evil more than twelve times.
"BlackHat does like being a villain," He sighed. "Oh yeah, did you come across a big, blue, bear by any chance?"
"Yeah, what's his deal?"
"I made him under Sir BlackHat's request. He didn't come out quite right, so he might try to hug you a lot. Anyway, his name is 5.0.5. If you need some translating, call me over. Okay?" Flug offered, well, more instructed.
"Sure...I'm gonna take this out now..." I backed up, and went outside. I tossed the back into the neighbors dumpster, and wiped my hands again.
Walking back inside, I was hug attacked by 5.0.5. He definitely was furry and cute. I'd have him for a pet if I could, even though he was cuddly and adorable.
"Hey there-" I suddenly couldn't breathe. "Air!"
5.0.5. let go. Maybe h just now learned that I was a friend. Either way, it was a pretty nice hugup to the end.
