I stormed out of WhiteHat's house and down the street. Nothing was keeping me from Flug. Not Slug, not B/Y/N, not WhiteHat....Not BlackHat either. Whatever he would try and do to me, I didn't care anymore. He had already tried to ruin my life, he wasn't going to succeed.
The mansion was in my sight, and my pace got even faster. I couldn't tell what I was feeling. Was it anger? Sadness? Guilt? No...I could only feel rage towards the demon right now. It was all his fault.
Flug's POV
I put the finishing touches on the gun BlackHat had requested. It was successfully flawed. I looked out the window, hoping Y/N would be running down the street as I had every half hour. This time, however, she was actually outside. I blinked a few times to make sure. She was definitely there.
My heart skipped a beat in happiness, but then in fear a my boss walked in the lab.
"Is it finished?" He held out his hand. It was a rhetorical question.
"Y-yes sir..." I gave the gun to him, and he examined it.
"Why were you looking out the-"
He was interrupted by a slamming door. I knew it was Y/N.
Your POV
I walked in the house, and smashed the door against its hinges when I closed it. I broke into a sprint towards the lab. I wanted Flug in my arms. I wanted BlackHat dead. I wanted to retake my life from him.
I was going to swing the iron door open, but it was already gaping. BlackHat was standing in front of Flug with a new gun in his hands. Flug saw me, and I could see the pleasure in his goggles which was replaced with immediate fear.
BlackHat's head did a full 180 and his body followed a few seconds afterwards. An evil, malicious smile crept onto his face. Whatever that gun did, it would be terrible.
"What perfect timing," BlackHat teased. "We can try out this new invention Doctor." HIs eyes were full of anger at me.
BlackHat raised the gun, and put his finger on the trigger. He was aiming at me.
"No!" Right as the demon pulled the trigger, Flug ran in front of me taking the shot.
BlackHat tried to shoot again, to hit me, but the gun just let out smoke. "Blasted thing!" He hissed.
"The gun makes the victim void of all emotion." Flug stated monotonically towards me, he obviously knew what I was wondering.
But that meant- I started to choke on tears again.
"There has to be a way to fix this!" I impulsively grabbed the gun from BlackHat's claws and smashed it on the ground. That always worked in movies.
"There is no engineered cure." Flug intercepted unhelpfully.
"Shut up!" I wailed.
5.0.5, being the curious bear he was, came in the room inspecting where all the ruckus was coming from. BlackHat left by pushing the blue fur ball out of his way.
"It can't end like this! It can't!" I was frantically searching through drawers and shelves hoping to find something that could possibly fix him.
5.0.5 made some bear noises which meant 'what's wrong?'. Hat, I could gather. BUt I couldn't answer him, I was too panicked. I could see out of the corner of my eye the bear place a paw on Flug's shoulder, but the paper bag clad man didn't even flinch. He just stood there, watching me freak out. The big blue furball started frantically scratching at him, but to no avail. Flug just blandly swiped the shedding fur off his coat.
