Your sleep was, yet again, plagued by a loud noise. Fortunately, it did not sound like a door being murdered this time around.

"Rise and shine princess!" Dean called out from somewhere down the hall. Had he just blown an air horn at you? You trudged out of your room and came across Sam - his disheveled appearance and barely open eyes letting you know that he had been subject to the same fate.

"What are you doing up so early in the morning? And did you just air horn me?" You were now staring at the culprit air horn and Dean Winchester, who was standing right next to it.

"Makin' breakfast." he replied, turning around and walking towards you with said breakfast in hand, entirely ignoring your latter question.

"So, Times Square? Brooklyn Bridge? Rockefeller Center? Where are we going?" Dean asked you through a mouthful of food.

"The grocery store."

-

"Of all places, why the grocery store?" Sam asked, watching you stand outside your door, locking up. "Because I have errands to run." You answered as if it was the most obvious thing for him to know.

"Hey Cap! Can I call you Cap? I'm gonna call you Cap." You immediately identified the tone of Dean's voice as his oh-I'm-so-excited-I'm-gonna-say-something-stupid-and-look-like-a-dumb-dork tone. Momentarily, Steve looked like he wanted to continue making his way down the hall but something made him stop. "It's Steve."

"So, Steve" Sam tried to have a normal conversation, unlike his brother "Seems like you're off to somewhere."

"To the grocery store, actually." Steve's reply made Dean look like he would burst at the seams. "We're going there too! You wanna tag along?" He blurted out, uncharacteristically giddy.

The uncomfortable silence and the anticipating faces of the three men staring at you made you realize that your opinion was still being awaited. If things had been any different, you would have flat out refused, smacked Dean upside the head and called it a day but the guilt of slamming the door twice in Steve's face made you rethink your answer.

"I don't mind him coming along, if that's what you're asking." was the last thing you said before you made your way down to the Impala.

-

"I DON'T CARE!! I'M NOT PAYING $15 FOR KALE!!!" The four of you were at Walmart and Steve was yelling at the top of his lungs. Apparently, he was very upset about how preposterous the economy could be in the future.

"You see, Sam! This is why I don't eat kale. It's just overpriced grass!" Dean's pitch also began to elevate.

"Will you guys tone it down? People are starting to stare." You spewed through gritted teeth, trying to cover your face at which your lace top proved to be of no use.

Not a bit more effort was required at the task as a familiar voice shushed the crowd for you. "Hello, Dean."

Steve was taken a aback at the sudden appearance of a complete stranger out of thin air, feeling slightly more vulnerable at the absence of his shield. Despite that, he positioned himself in front of you, determined to protect if things went south. "Who are you?" He asked, preparing himself in a defensive stance.

"I'm an angel of the Lord."
