Been a while since
Billy the Barber passed
Folks cut their hair short
Tried to make it last
Then right in the middle
Of the town's jamboree
A sign went up
Haircuts free
Hard to miss
A free haircut sign
There was a sudden rush
To get in line
"Today only folks,
Tomorrow they cost
So step right up
Let's get some hair lost
He said his name was Strop
And he'd be stayin' in town
'Cause he gave the best haircut
