Danielle and Lauren really tried this dating thing, and for the most part, it was great. The only problem was, Danielle had never been in a relationship and didn't know what she was doing whatsoever. She didn't know how to be romantic, didn't know how to act in public, didn't know anything basically. It made their relationship a little harder but Lauren was sure they could deal with it.
Danielle felt bad about it though, she wanted to give Lauren everything she deserved, and that included a healthy relationship, not one where your girlfriend doesn't even know what she's doing.
Last night for example, Danielle mindlessly checked out another girl and rambled about her until Lauren looked at her with that look and Danielle knew she messed up again. Lauren just laughed and kissed her girlfriend but Danielle felt like beating herself up.
The rest of it was amazing though, Lauren was a great cook, especially deserts, God Danielle was gonna get fat if she ever moved in with this girl. Wait, since when does Danielle think about moving in with people? Whatever.
Her cuddles, so soft and warm. The little whispers. She was so cute, especially when she thought Danielle was asleep and turned into the biggest sap walking on earth. Danielle was sure Lauren could write an entire book about her eyes alone.
Their banter was her favourite part though, Lauren was as sarcastic as Danielle, something she didn't expect.
Another thing she didn't expect was how handsy Lauren was. Her hands were always either on her bum, tugging on her hair, sneaking into the holes of her low-cut tank tops. Danielle absolutely loved it.
They didn't sleep together a lot. Lauren knew it was something Danielle dreaded. She knew Danielle's opinion on domestic things, she'd just have to learn how to live with it.
The nights they did sleep together were absolute heaven though. Lauren loved the feeling of Danielle's arms wrapped around her, the soft breaths on her neck, the feeling of two hearts beating in synch.
Lauren's also surprised by how romantic Danielle could be, sure, it's not like most relationships. But when Danielle comes back from class and brings home a bouquet of stolen flowers out of people's front yards, Lauren's heart still skips a beat.
Their relationship was messy and out of the ordinary, it was weird and people thought it wouldn't last, but to them it was oh so perfect.
