"Okay, now we can talk about it", Lauren said after their morning shower, which they took separately for the first time.

"I betrayed you", Danielle whispered, tears present in her eyes.

"No you didn't", Lauren said.

"Yes I did, stop denying it", Danielle cried.

"You didn't", Lauren insisted.

"How would you know, you weren't even there", Danielle stated.

"I know what you look like after sex, it's not like that", Lauren shrugged.

"Lauren, I. Kissed. Someone. Else." There it was, Danielle dropped the big bomb. This was not at all how the conversation was supposed to go.

Lauren's face dropped. "What?"

"I mean, I, I didn't, but, I did".

"Okay, one, you're not making any sense, two, you better have a damn good explanation for this". Lauren said with a stern look.

Danielle sighed. This was it. The moment of truth. "So, I went to the party, it was boring, really boring. So I drank. A lot".

"Get on with it already", Lauren said.

"And this gorgeous girl was staring at me the entire night". Danielle continued.

"So you thought, fuck my girlfriend, I should just snog her and only stop when my girlfriend texts because I have to be reminded she even exists?" Lauren snapped.

"No!", she screamed, "no", she said in a much softer voice.

"Then what?" Lauren said in an annoyed tone.

"She kissed me, I didn't pull away". Danielle said as her eyes lingered on Lauren's.

"That's it?" Lauren said, almost laughing, "did you even kiss back?"

"No", Danielle shook her head.

"This is what you're so fucking dramatic about, a girl kissing you and you being a useless drunk and not pulling away?" Lauren sighed.

"You're not mad?" Danielle asked with a glimmer of hope in her voice.

"Dan, I thought you cheated on me, this is nothing, I'll just accompany you at parties next time". Lauren stated, as if it was the most natural thing on earth.

Danielle wanted to kiss her, hold her forever and tell her how stupid she was, she wanted to hold her. But she held back. Cause this reaction seemed utterly unnatural to her.

"Baby, come here", Lauren whispered as she pulled Danielle in her lap. "It's alright, stop doubting yourself".

Danielle dropped her face into the crook of her neck.

"I'm a little bit hurt", she said, Danielle pressed a soft kiss to her neck, "but I expected this".

"Heeey", Danielle whined.

"Just, try harder next time", Lauren said as she played with Danielle's shirt. "In the mean time", she said as Danielle felt a pair of lips on her neck. "This should be obvious enough". Danielle touched her neck, only being able to imagine what kind of purple and blue masterpiece was blooming on her neck.

"We should probably be a bit more public", Danielle said in a soft voice.

"You want us to?" Lauren asked, this was not the usual for Danielle, usually very private about anything in her personal life.

Danielle nodded, "yea, I mean, we're together, and people need to know. So, yea", she trailed off.

"What do you propose?" Lauren asked.

"I don't know, how do you tell people you have a girlfriend usually?" She asked in return.

"PDA, but that's against your rules", Lauren stated.

Danielle nodded, "how about you just post that one picture of us, you know the one".

Lauren smiled softly, she did know what Danielle was talking about.

It was the one from their pool day, Jordan had taken it. Lauren was sitting on top of Danielle's shoulders, who was looking up at her with puckered lips.

Lauren smiled at the memory, when she leaned down to actually kiss her, she got thrown into the water. Danielle following shortly after and kissing her under the water. They were so happy that day, their smiles never leaving their faces.

"You're thinking about it aren't you", Danielle asked with a small smile on her lips.

Lauren nodded.

"We should do that again sometime", Danielle said, more as an invitation than anything.

Lauren just nodded again and kissed Danielle quiet. She'd never get tired of doing that.

They were going to be okay, they never stopped being okay.
