LOVE TRIANGLE PT. 2

"Hi. I'm the normal guy. Nice to meet you."

Setting the scene: Yamaguchi is now dating (girl). (Y/n) is depending on Tsukishima even more.

"Hey, Tsukishima I really don't need them." You smiled at the blonde as he slipped the headphones around your neck as he entered homeroom.

It's been about 3 months since Yamaguchi had started dating (girl) and Tsukishima has become somewhat of a best friend for you. Watching Yamaguchi and (girl) was hard, but you tried to keep your mind off of it.

The second term started a few days ago, the middle of September. Soon it would be Tsukishima's birthday.

"Just take them, okay?" You nodded and slid them on, smiling at him. He was playing the playlist you liked the most.

Tsukishima took a seat in front of you, taking out a few things. All though you didn't see him much over the summer break, you did text him frequently. Yamaguchi followed in, smiling as he sat in his seat by Tsukishima. You started to take out your materials when the teacher entered.

Even though the school day went by fairly quickly, you decided to go the volleyball practice after school. Entering behind Tsukishima, you greeted Nishinoya and Tanaka, making them smile.

"(f/n)! (f/n)!" Hinata yelled, running to you. You smiled and ran to him, dropping your bag. You hugged him tightly, which made him cough in the beginning.

"It's nice to see you too, Kageyama!" You smiled as he stood close by, he nodded.

"Are you here for Tsukishima? Are you two dating? You're always wearing his Somy headphones!?" Hinata yells, making you laugh a little. (smh somy ok tsukki)

"No we're not dating. I promise, but he lets me wear them." You picked up your bag and fixed the headphones on your neck. They were your favorite thing right now, even if they were Tsukishima's.

"Tch, (l/n) we're about to start. Don't let Hinata touch those either." Tsukishima said, making Hinata frown. You nodded and smiled at the blonde, going over to sit next to Kiyoko. Both of you striked up a conversation, and then you helped her with managing for the night.

After the long practice, you helped with cleaning up while the boys changed and took care of the net. Closing the storage room, you thanked Daichi and Sugawara for having you and walked over to Tsukishima. He was talking to Yamaguchi, so you picked up your bag and stood with Kageyama and Hinata.

"Ne, ne (f/n) are you free tonight? Kageyama and I were going to get some meat buns!" Hinata looked at you eagerly, making you giggle. You thought for a second, then looked back as a hand was laid on your shoulder.

"Tsukishima?" You asked, seeing him glare at Kageyama and Hinata.

"She's going home with me. Bug off." You smiled at this comment, feeling a little shy.

Together, you both left together as some of the boys lagged behind the two of you. You slid the headphones around Tsukishima's neck, as you walked down the street.

"Hey, why don't you call me by my first name?" You nudged Tsukishima, who looked down at you.

"I've never thought of calling you that." He replied back bitterly, making you frown. The butterflies in your stomach continued to grow, making you blush.

Pulling on his jacket, you stopped. Tsukishima stopped, looking at you again.

"What?"

"I'm going to start calling you Kei."

The blonde's eyes widened, his cheeks turning pink in the process.

"Idiot, why would you call me that!"

"B-Because...everyone calls you Tsukishima. I want to call you Kei."

"No. It will sound like we're dating."

You shut your mouth, turning the corner as you two continued to walk home. Your frown hung on your face, making you sigh. He looked down at you, moving in front of you.

"Move, you look like a lamp post." You looked up at him.

"Don't look at me like that. It makes me feel weird. Like I'm nervous." The blonde scratched the back of his neck, his blush instantly spreading.

"O-Oh...sorry."

"Tch. We're at your home." Tsukishima mumbled, obviously ready to get home.

"Ah, good night Tsukishima. See you tomorrow at school." You reached for the doorknob, but Tsukishima grabbed your wrist.

"...I'm fine with you calling me Kei. It sounds nice."

You smiled at the blonde and nodded, reaching up to kiss his cheek. He was sweet tonight, for the most part.

"Good night Kei!" You slipped through the doorway and shut the door, feeling the blush rise on your face. He actually allowed you to call him Kei now.

The next day, you walked to school by yourself because Tsukishima had to leave early for practice. You were fine with it though, but you forgot about your English homework. You needed help, and the only person you could think of asking was Tsukishima.

Entering the courtyard, you walked towards the gym. You saw the door was open, so you slipped in and stood by Kiyoko as the boys practiced.

Your eyes wandered until you spotted Tsukishima doing some drills. He was drenched with sweat, his face looking serious as always. Unlike his fan girls, you had a tendency to not say you were there. No one else seemed to notice except Kiyoko.

It was about fifteen minutes after that the boys finished, so you stood up and helped Kiyoko. The boys finally greeted you, which made you smile.

After picking up, you noticed Tsukishima seemed ready to go. So you grabbed your bag and waved to the boys.

"Cmon, Kei. You've got to help me with my English homework!" You grabbed Tsukishima's arm and tugged him towards the classrooms, hearing a few boys snicker.

And that was the story of how your future husband let you call him by his first name.
