"I'm not good with people, and I don't want to interact with them."
"Hey look, it's that 2nd year." Mentioned some students,as (y/n) entered. Her (e/c) eyes scanned the room of unfamiliar teenagers, who in turn watched her every move.
"This is (l/n) (f/n), she is from America. Please treat her well, especially with only knowing short Japanese phrases." The teacher smiled, ushering you to your desk. You felt nervous secretly, especially with not knowing the native language.
Setting your things down, you felt inadequate, your bag wasn't like others and you didn't have a pencil case. You had just one pencil, a (f/c) mechanical pencil.
Feeling frustrated, you looked out the window. It was hard enough leaving some of your customs at home, especially that you are only with your father now. You both were having hard time changing countries.
At lunch however, some girls were asking about your move, which you clearly tried to explain in simple english, not to confuse them. They loved your (h/c) and attractive features that were only from the United States. You apparently look like an exotic animal to them.
After your first frustrating day at what everyone referred to as Nekoma, you started to walk home. Following the directions on Google Maps of course. As you texted on your phone to friends back home, you bumped straight into another person.
"S-Sorry! I didn't see you there-" You looked straight into a pair of cat-like golden eyes. Gasping, you stood back. Oops, you had used english again.
"Sorry." The teenager plainly said back, making you sigh in relief. Smiling you grabbed his hand and shook it.
"I'm from America! It's nice to meet you, my name is (l/n) (f/n)." You said slowly, surely you must have mispronounced something because he let out a chuckle.
"Kozume Kenma. I'm pretty good at english." He stated, looking back at his handheld device. You smiled again, looking down at your phone.
"E-Excuse me, I need to go." With that you left, heading down the street. You noticed he looked a little sweaty, wearing some jacket with your school colors. Kozume Kenma, interesting.
You arrived home a little bit late, which worried your father. You smiled, however, and told him you met Kozume Kenma. Your father seemed to be happy about the encounter, and told you about your nightly Japanese lessons he scheduled. Soon you'd be able to fit in better.

The next day, you entered school and headed to the 2nd year hallway, carefully trying to make it to your homeroom. But you spotted Kenma quite easily and waved, but he seemed to be a few other freakishly tall boys.
At lunch, you sat by yourself. Those girls were less than interested in you today. Sighing, you decided to study from your textbooks. Nothing hurt more than having no friends, especially in a new school.
You thought you saw something in the corner of your eye, so you turned to meet Kenma's stare. He motioned for you to come, so you got up from your seat. Walking out to the hall, you were met with two freakishly tall boys.
"Y-Yikes! Kenma, who are these two?" You said, face palming after you forgot to say it in Japanese.
"Kuroo Tetsurou, 3rd year. Haiba Lev, 1st year." You blushed, looking away.
"N-Nice to meet you, I'm (f/n) (l/n). An American." Lev seemed to jump up, shouting something. You turned to Kenma who shrugged.
"He said that he's half Russian. But everyone here knows a little English, so it'll be okay." He went back to his games again, which you noticed is a reoccurring thing. But they started walking, so you followed them down the hall to what you thought is the gym. That's when you noticed Kenma's jacket, and the other two's.
They were apart of a club, and there was a volleyball net up. Boy's Volleyball Club. Your school never had many sports, mainly football and track. So to you, this was interesting.
Other boys had gathered, making you slightly nervous. They started talking, which you could only catch bits and pieces. Kenma sat on the bench and motioned you to sit down. You sat, playing with your skirt nervously.
Someone asked Kenma something, you looked up to see a boy with a mohawk. His expression was scary, making you let out a yelp. Standing up in defense, you watched as he ran way and hid behind some of the boys that were laughing.
You looked at Kenma for help, he shrugged again. "Yamamoto Taketora. 2nd year, ace." Blushing in embarrassment, you turned towards Kuroo.
"U-Um, why am I here..." Casting your eyes away from his smirk, he laughed. Elbowing Kenma, he sat his games down in response.
"We need a manager and I like you. So, we wanted to welcome you." Kenma stood up, his cat eyes looking at yours.
"But I don't know anything about taking care of a volleyball team! I also can't speak your native language." Sighing, you watched him as his expression changed. How did you even get yourself into this situation.
"I can help you too, please. We're desperate." Looking around at the crowd of hopeful boys...and Lev, you let out a sigh.
"Fine, but you need to help me a lot." Smiling, you saw Kenma crack a smile as well. The boys started to cheer. Maybe this move was good.
-
"(y/n)! Where is she?" Yamamoto asked, looking around for you. Kenma was also looking, for once instead of playing those games. But, you had contributed to his gaming "issue" as some said.
"Sorry I'm late, sensei kept me back!" You smiled wide, seeing Kenma standing with Yamamoto and the rest of the boys. Holding up the camera and tripod, the boys smiled back. Your best friend had followed you, as after the pictures you would do some homework together.
"Alright, there. Let me just...uh..there! Alright, let's pose for this team picture!" Positioning yourself, you took a few photos. But then you felt a hand on your shoulder, and looked up to see Coach Nekomata. He was smiling as always.
"You're part of the team, let someone else take it." You looked at your best friend, and she nodded happily.
Standing by Kenma, you smiled for the picture. A few flashes were seen, and then all the boys dispersed.
"U-Um, we all pitched in and got flowers for you, (y/n). Since you'll be graduating soon with the other 3rd years." Lev handed you a bouquet, making you smile and hug the second year.
"These were the best days of my life, spending my time with all of you. Thank you for helping me fit in and be your manager. And with Kenma." Taking the pudding head's hand, you leaned in and kissed his cheek.
"Kenma, I love you." Laughing at the blush on his face, you pulled on his cheeks.
"Let go of my cheeks, (y/n)." Kenma mumbled as you played with cheeks. You let go and he turned to you. His eyes were your favorite thing about him.
"I love you too. They're taking pictures, let's go on that date already." Turning, the guys held up their phones.
"Aww! You two go already!" They cooed at the both of you, making you blush.
"Shut up you pack of cats!" You screeched, threatening them.
Moving to Japan wasn't good. It was amazing.
