Evan and Pietro

Aquata's POV

"So Storm has a nephew?" I ask.

"Yes and he has powers" Scott replies.

"So why are we going? Can't Storm handle this on her own?" I ask confused. Let me catch you up on what is happening. Ororo (Storm) went to see her nephew's (Evan Daniels') basketball game the other day. She finds out he got the mutant gene and when his father (Ororo's brother) didn't. She is having trouble trying to convince him to give the institute a shot. So now the professor is sending Scott and I over to help her.

"Professor X thinks Evan would agree if people his age suggested it and told him about it. Besides Jean was going to come also, but Duncan asked her out" Scott grumbles the last bit. I knew he likes Jean a lot, but she's with Duncan.

"When do I get to drive and my own car?" I ask him changing the subject.

"When your learners permit comes in the mail and you'll get a car when you get your full license" he states. "We're here" he adds pulling into a driveway and we get out of the car after he turns it off. I knock on the door and Ororo lets us in.

"Man you don't give up, do you Aunty O?" Evan asks when he arrives home seeing us in his lounge room.

"That's because she loves you" I tell him. "She's concerned, we all are" I state.

"This certainly explains why you're always coming home with holes in your clothes" his mother tells him.

"We all ways knew this was a possibility" Ororo tells them. "Why you didn't receive the mutant gene as I did. We knew it may appear in future generations" she tells her brother.

"It's not really so bad Mrs Daniels, having special powers can be kind of cool sometimes" Scott states.

"Oh yeah, tell you what shades why don't you show me what you got. That's so cool" Evan suggests.

"Evan" Mrs Daniels scolds him.

"Sorry mum" Evan says.

"No really it's ok, it's just Scott's powers aren't what call indoor friendly" I tell them.

"Ok whatever, look man I like it right here and I'm not going to a home for freaks. Now if you'll excuse me I got some school stuff to take care of" he states leaving the room. I sigh getting and head over to the window.

"Hey Evan's going out the window" I tell them as I watch him. Once he hits the ground he skates away on a skateboard. We all run to the front and watch him skate around the corner.

"We really need to work on a sales pitch" Scott states. I call the professor and ask him to track Evan for us. It wasn't long until he got back to us saying Evan was at his school. But as we drove there his parents got a call from the police. Apparently he's been arrested for breaking into lockers.

"Evan, what happened?" Mrs Daniels asks as we approached Evan's cell. Honestly being here wasn't bringing back good memories.

"Welcome to the downside pal, miss use your powers go to jail" Scott states.

"It's wasn't me man" Evan exclaims.

"I believe you Evan in fact I know you didn't do it" I tell him.

"Evan please listen to me" Ororo says getting his attention. "Let us help you" she tells him. Scott steps forward to speak as Evan looks conflicted on what to do.

"So we'll make you a deal" he states. "The professor will use his influence to get you out of here. And you give the institute a shot, what do you say?" he asks holding his hand out.

"Like I have a choice" Evan states.

"Hey you always have a choice" I tell him.

"We just what to help you make the right one" Scott adds. Evan agreed to the deal shaking Scott's hand. Professor X got him out and we (minus Mr and Mrs Daniels) all went back to the institute.

(Few days later) Still Aquata's POV

Evan has been training with Logan and Scott to control his powers. He's been enrolled at Bayville high with the rest of us. He even joined our basket ball team. It was just announced his old school was coming to play a game against our team.

I walk with Jean and Scott the night of the game to see Evan arguing with a boy with white hair. "What's going on here?" Scott asks placing a hand on the other boys shoulder.

"You ok Evan?" I ask helping him up.

"This is nothing I can't handle" Evan tells us.

"Is he the one who was stealing from the lockers?" Jean and I ask.

"Stay out of this" Evan tells us.

"That true?" Scott asks the boy.

"Actually yeah yeah, I trashed those lockers. Why? You going to do something about it?" he asks.

"Look I think you better come with..." Scott states to say when he was thrown down to the ground by the boy.

"I don't think so" the boy states as Jean goes to help Scott up.

"That's it Pietro, you're going down this time" Evan states and goes to tackle Pietro. But dodges it so quickly all I see is a blur.

"Ho ho sounds like a challenge" Pietro states placing a hand on his ear. "Come on Daniels, let's see what you got" he says before running away. Evan goes after him on his skateboard changing into his xmen uniform.

"We can't let Evan do this alone" I tell Scott and Jean.

"When you're with the xmen, you're never alone" Scott tells me. We change quickly running after Evan and Pietro.

"We have to stop him" Jean states as we stop beside Evan.

"I've tried, he's just to fast I thought you said all that training stuff would help" Evan states throwing his helmet onto the ground.

"Training's just one part of it Spyke, team works another" Scott tells him as Pietro reappears screaming 'Yahoo!' "jean he can't run if his feet are off the ground" Scott tells her. She said she was on it and lifts Pietro off the ground. But he starts a tornado.

We were blown away I held onto a post box with Jean while Scott and Evan hold onto a light post. "Spyke lock and loud" Scott tells him. Then shots the middle of the tornado hitting Pietro. Evan shots his spikes pinning Pietro to a brink wall.

"I can't get loose, I can't get loose!" Pietro shouts.

"Not so fast are you now quicksilver?" Evan asks.

"What good it does you Daniels? You still can't prove I had anything to do with you getting in trouble" Pietro states.

"Oh really, I got it all right here" Evan states taking out a voice recorder and plays Pietro's confession to trashing the lockers.

"Good shot Evan, looks like some of that training did pay off" I tell him smirking. Just then we heard the police sirens and ran leaving the tape for the police near Pietro.

(Next day in the institutes pool) still Aquata's POV

I lay beside Kitty on a float as I play with the water. I was in my mermaid form and am glad the professor unchlorinated the pool. Making is a salt water pool instead. Chlorine does not go well with my scales. "Professor Kurt's leaving all his fur in the pool" Kitty complains.

"I am not!" Kurt shouts and I giggled leaving Kitty to swim. When Evan jumps into the pool accidentally releasing his spikes puncturing Kitty's floating bed. He apologize, but I stay shot water at him with my palm. This started a massive water fight while Ororo and the Professor continue their talk.
