Sabre-tooth

Aquata's POV

Let me catch you up on what has happened recently. Rogue has joined the X-men after finding out Mystic had lied to her. She saved Scott from Mystic during a mountain field trip. I couldn't go because of the cold weather up there. I can die very easily in the cold, so I stayed at the institute. Jean also stayed even though she was going to go originally. When we heard Scott was in trouble the professor, Storm and Logan went to find him. But they came back with Rogue and Scott. So now Rogue is on our time and shares a room with Kitty. They don't get along well and I'm trying to help them become friends. But it is difficult.

Right now I am helping Jason put up posters for auditions for the Dracula play. When I hear two familiar voices arguing and Kitty bumps into Jason. Who helps her pick up her books while she picks up his posters. "Thank you Jason, awh" Rogue mutters imitating Kitty.

"It's Kitty right?" Jason asks Kitty.

"Yeah Kitty, that's right" she says blushing. "How are you doing?" she asks him.

"I am diffidently going to be ill" Rogue says.

"Hanging posters with Aquata, auditions for the school play" he tells her.

"Oh hey Aquata" Kitty says noticing me and I roll my eyes.

"Yeah hey Kitty and Rogue" I say smiling.

"Hey you're going to try out right?" Jason asks Kitty. "We need girls who can sing and dance, Aquata says you've been teaching her to dance" he states.

"So what part do you play?" Kitty asks.

"The male lead and Aquata is one of my three brides, we still need two more" he tells her making me blush.

"You're going to be Dracula, then of course. I'll totally try out" she tells him blushing.

"Then I'll see you tomorrow" Jason tells her. "Aquata, I'll hang the rest of theses" he tells me and I nod my head.

"Just when I thought you couldn't get more pathetic" Rogue tells Kitty.

"At least I have a hope of getting cast, unlike you" Kitty tells her.

"Do you guys always have to fight" I grumble.

"Think about it, I was made for this play" Rogue tells her and notices something to the right of us. "Hey what are you playing at porcupine?" she asks and we turn to see Evan with a video camera.

"It's cool, just doing an assessment for extra credit" he says approaching us.

"I better not see my face on that tape or they'll be calling you spykeless" she tells him.

"Yeah, hey look don't worry about it" he tells us. "So are you guys going to audition for this?" he asks pointing to the poster.

"Already in it" I tell him shrugging.

"Well I am" Kitty says.

"Yeah, me too" Rogue adds. They then walk off in different directions and I sigh.

"Oh yeah, character conflict" Evan says.

"Come on Evan, or we'll be late to class" I say grabbing his arm and half dragged him to class. Honestly he never put that camera down, even at home. Jean and I were in the bathroom one morning deciding what to wear to school while in our pj's. Evan was filming us through the crack in the door until Jean slammed the door in his face using her power.

On top of that an old enemy of Logan's called Sabre-tooth appeared. Jean, Scott, Storm and Logan scared him off, before Logan went to hunt him down. While he was doing that Evan was taking Kitty, Rogue and I to the park to film us dancing together. I hope they both get the part as Dracula's bride. Also it was to lure out Sabre-tooth.

Rogue was very up-tight when dancing, she didn't seem to flow with the music like Kitty and I. "Hey Rogue how about shed those gloves and give K-girl a tiny tap" Evan suggests.

"What?" Rogue asks.

"No way" Kitty tells him.

"Listen to me, just enough to rip off Kitty's moves" Even tells her.

"Both you of just focus on dancing" I tell them.

"It might work, just concentrate on them" Rogue tells Kitty as she takes off one of her gloves.

"Ok, but you better not lay me out" Kitty warns her. Their fingers touch for about a second before pulling away.

"That was like freak-ism, am I talking like her?" Rogue asks and I giggle.

"Ok let's get on with it" I tell them and Rogue puts her glove back on as Evan says action. Kitty hits play on the cd player and the three of us begin to dance together. Suddenly Sabre-tooth appears growling and destroys my cd player. He grabs Evan first while I take the lead of my hip flask.

"You're mine" Sabre-tooth states.

"Been expecting you" Evan says and lets out his spikes. "Got to be sharp if you're going to mess with the Spyke" he tells Sabre-tooth. Who throws him into Rogue and goes for Kitty saying he'd take her. But she phases and he goes right through her falling onto the ground in front of me.

I make a puddle of ice below him making him slip as he tries to get up. Then go to help get Evan off of Rogue. But we turn to see Kitty unconscious and him advancing on her. "Back off ugly" Rogue and I tell him & attack together. But he grabs our wrists in his big hands.

"Picking on kids, big mistake" Logan says as he appears charging. Sabre-tooth lets go of Rogue and I as Logan tackles him to the ground.

"Why?" Sabre-tooth asks him.

"Because it really ticks me off" Logan sneers glaring at him. Logan throws him and as Sabre-tooth stands Rogue grabs his neck with her un-gloved hand. Sabre-tooth falls unconscious as Rogue sprouts fur, claws and pointed ears as her hair grows longer.

"I just shaved my legs last night" she complains as I help Kitty up.

"Nice the finishing touch, you planned this didn't you porcupine?" Logan asks.

"A little bit, yeah" Evan says rubbing his neck as Kitty rubs her bruised shoulder.

"Well don't do it again" Logan tells him. "You could of all been killed and don't give me those puppy dog eyes Half-pint. You're all grounded" he tells us.

"For how long?" I ask him.

"I don't know, until she-wolf there gets a hair cut" he says gesturing to Rogue as he picks up Sabre-tooth. We took Sabre-tooth back to the institute where the Professor wiped his memory. Before he was dumped on a snow covered mountain far from us.

On a happier note Kitty and Rogue became the last two brides of Dracula. The play was a hit with Kitty and Rogue holding Jason's hands while I held Kitty's free one. Evan got an 'A' minus on his film report and things were normal again. Until we had to decide between survival training with Logan of going to a survival camp. We choose the camp, but turns out the brotherhood is going also. Just hope they don't cause us any trouble during camp.
