The block passed by fast, I thought as I trailed off the memories from today.I hasn't been that bad.
I got to catch up on school work and talk to Lez. Besides that it's been pretty typical.
Made me think of what Lez thought about of the whole Anais thing. I mean she knew her since about 5th grade and was basically sisters. Something like that would take a toll on her.
Though thinking of Lez hurting secretly made me depressed. Then the thoughts that came to mind when I think of Anais seem too vulgar to say in words.
Dark stuff in a dark place huh?
I looked across the streets and the shadows that appeared to move every time I took a step.
I figured it was around 10pm.
I looked left then right every time I crossed a street, only tendency caused. Only god knew that everyone in this neighborhood is sleeping at a time like this.
No cars were around.
I'm still about ten minutes away. I paused.
I could cut through here then go straight instead of fully going around the block.
And so I did.
Where I was was another small woods area that had a sidewalk that ran through the middle. When you walked down to the end it would take you to a crossroad of 4 different alleys to different areas. I had to take the one that went straight forward then move up from there for 2 blocks then turn left and I would be on my road. Seemed simple enough.
I took my time walking down that sidewalk.
I knew too well that there wasn't anyone to stop me from taking my time when I arrived home since there wasn't anyone there.
No one there for goodnights and goodbyes in the mornings.
Just an empty echoey house that can't tell you that your button is undone or that you've overslept.
Or maybe ask how your day has been.
It was depressing...
I felt my ears chime in to the sound of my shoes quietly hitting the pavement as I took my step.
I could feel my eyes adjusting when I went into the darker alley way when..
Thump.
"Huh"? I heard my voice echo from wall to wall.
My brain felt tired as I slowly realized my lack of oxygen.
Then my eyes adjusted.
Breathing wasn't an option as I felt eyes on me.
"Whoo...ooo." I tried to gasp air for the next word but I couldn't
"Heh.."
The sound echoed in a mock.
My hands were too weak to pry what was on me.
What... what should I do....?!
My legs worked in action as I kicked whatever or Whoever was choking me.
They moved back but didn't lose their grip as I heard their fingers thumble around in what sounded like a pocket full of keys.
Something poked me on the stomach as they pushed me down and I slide down the brick wall.
Am I getting mugged?
On the other hand, I don't have anything valuable.
A motion light moved on when the man released his grip and stepped back.
