I stood up and ran toward him, basically striding with my arms out and hugged him. This is the most happy i've ever been seeing Lenny. I even remember. I looked around at people as no one seemed to care enough to look except that old man. Lenny though, wasn't the best guy to be with right now, but he sure is the one person I know. "Hey asshole", I said when we got out of the hug. "You miss me?" Lenny smirked, "in a way." The man walked up and handed me water. "You scared the shit out of me kid. You have me remembering my old EMS days." I apologized, "You should finish that and go slow..." He started talking to Lenny.

We ended up going on the ferris wheel though we mostly walked around as I asked him about what has happened on his end. When the carnival closed we were directed to the parking lot in heaps of people. The night went by nicely, I thought.

I got into the car.

Lenny got in alongside with a cigarette in hand.

"Come'on isn't this a rental?" I spoke rolling my eyes.

"Wanna drag?" He joked.

"Your the one who made me smoke", I crossed my arms. " I don't really smoke."

"You do now." He pulled out of the parking area.

"Eh, screw you."

I watched the night sky, "By the way what was the whole brother thing about? There was no point in that detail."

He looked at me, "What sounds better? Hi i'm your long lost brother" or Hi, I'm a hitman who took you along so I knew you'd keep your mouth shut so, get in my car."

I looked at him and he looked at me. "I knew you'd freak out."

I turned toward the window knowing I was wrong, "You made me leave Thirty."

"Who?"

"A guy named Thirty I met when I was lost."

"Thirty? Was that some sales clerk who wanted to sound edgy by changing up his name?"

"No", I watched the name of the song go across the radio screen. "He was a homeless old drug addict who would hop trains." We stopped at a red light and I watched his face. "The hell happened to you?"

I shrugged, "Shit happens when your stuck in the middle of nowhere."

"I Still wanna' know how we miraculously found each other."

"Fate?"

"Sure hell it is."

I smiled.

At the motel Lenny sat at our small kitchen table before pulling out a bottle of wine and bourbon. "You still have this?" I said grabbing the wine bottle and remembering its past.

"Yeah" He went to the refrigerator and pulled out a bag of ice. "You want some?" He opened the bag. "I'm seventeen, you know this."

"And I'm nineteen, your point?"

He took down two glasses from the cabinet and filled them with ice.

He came back, putting them on the table. Which do you want?

"Hm, well you have a weird mix. Wine and bourbon?"

"I would say two different moods."

"Bourbon", I said. Then he continued to pour a small amount

"Good choice", Lenny spoke and poured his glass. He sat in the chair across from me and held up his glass. I did the same.

Before notice I watched him swallow the whole thing in a single sip. Following his lead, I did the same. My eyes watered as it stung me.
