Roll.... Thud.

The sound of tire treads on dirt moved away and echoed in my hollow blank mind.

The patted dirt came into my eyes and I appeared to be laying, as clear as crystal I sat up. A pool of blood was an obvious mark of where I'd been laying. Where am I?

My feet were like they were moving on their own, my shattered body seemed to slump up in a standing motion.

What is this? I thought, forgetting ever moving my legs.

My back was as straight as it could be and even though my body ached with pulsating pain I still remained upright.

I stopped my breath.

Took in the scenery.

And calmed myself.

Smiling a little I watched the birds that flew near the sunsetting sky. Little squeals climbing in their trees. Even the little field mice, only were noticeable every few seconds when their tails would pop up and they'd crawl the into the dark deepend forest that laid behind to where I was standing.

Sweet,.

The word popped in my head and floated. No other time then this I have ever felt this calm. The past week did still come as a blur.

I found myself looking up at the sky, following the moving clouds above me with my spinning body. When the cloud continued to go the same direction I moved my eyes down.

In my view the abandoned home seemed smaller than it actually was.Though, when I started walking up the same gravel path that lead to it, I could depict the more smaller features such as the patches of moss growing on the gray house and what looked like paint drops of white. Opening the first screen door my imagination crept to me. By the time I tried the knob to the blue door underneath, the lady in my mind was already feeding me ideas to stay there until the morning.

The door opened with hostility when I pushed on it. By the looks, the door showed signs of not being opened for years and I assumed that I was the only occupant that ever set foot in it for around 5 years.Alarms set off in my head when a loud thud came from behind the door. My mouth opened and before the h of "Hello" came out something in my head told me to be quiet.

Creaak, my foot touched the floor, admiring the whole room. To the right was a black staircase by the means that looked like it was falling apart. If one unlikely person were to step on it they and whoever was with them would fall right through, probably by what sounded like a basement underneath. In front was just an empty room with a fireplace against the staircase. The left, nothing but a giant doorway that no door could ever fit through with another room that was itemless. I stepped fully in and admired the peeling walls. Shivering I turned toward the fireplace and noticed a heap of blankets I must have ignored before. Blankets? I walked toward them, watching my every step. "I don't know who you are but, get out." Came out of the blankets. I paused in my step. "If you're here to claim the house, you better show me some paperwork and I'll leave." There was no sound so the man added, "I have a weapon." The heap moved upward and I saw an eye move out the side of the blankets. They then pushed the blanket off themselves and stood up shakily. "Who the hell are you? And what's wrong with you?" He held a silver baseball bat in his hand and was quite younger than I thought he was. I must have appeared shocked because his face softened after I blurted out, "Oh... sorry.. I was just looking." He asked me why my face was all beaten up and I shrugged.
