Sometime Later
Inside: Jane's And Evelyn's Apartment 🔭🏹

Jane, Evelyn, Darcy, Erik and Ian sit at the round kitchen table eating breakfast. The heavy silence is punctuated by the odd sound of munching.

Darcy breaks the silence as she looks at Evelyn, who is barely eating her breakfast, "He's gonna come back." She's talking about Thor, Erik silently sighs sceptically, Darcy continues a little awkwardly, "Except, you know, last time he was gone for, like, two years."

Evelyn lifts her head up, "Well, it's only been two days, so..." She trails off, giving Darcy a look who nods understandably.

Erik asks Evelyn, "Did he say anything before they left?"

Evelyn looks at Erik, "Yeah, he had to figure some stuff out with his father. He and Sue kinda committed treason..." She looks down as she realizes that he may not come back, "On our way out." It goes quiet again, Evelyn takes a bite out of her scrambled eggs and Jane goes back to her cereal.

Erik looks down, "Oh."

Darcy speaks up again, "Well, what about Sue?" They all look at her, "Did she say anything before she left?"

Jane speaks up this time, "Only that, even though she's far away, she'll always be here for us, even if we can't see her, she can see us." Everyone nods, thinking about that.

Darcy nods and speaks up, "A bit creepy when you think about it." Everyone manages to chuckle at the honest joke.

Asgard: Throne Room 🏹🔭

Thor and Sue kneels at the foot of the throne, where Odin is standing in front of—the damage is gone and has been repaired.

Odin states to Thor, "You once said there would never be a wiser King than me. You were wrong. The alignment has brought all the realms together. Every one of them saw you offer your life to save them. What can Asgard offer its new King in return?"

Thor answers, "My life." Sue looks at Thor in shocked-disbelief as he stands to his feet, "Father, I cannot be King of Asgard. I will protect Asgard and all the realms with my last and every breath, but I cannot do so from that chair. Loki, for all his grave imbalance understood rule as I know I never will." He glances down at Sue who looks away with a sad look, Thor looks back at Odin, "The brutality, the sacrifice... It changes you. I'd rather be a good man than a great King."

Odin questions Thor, "Is this my son I hear, or the woman he loves?"

Thor gently questions back, "When you speak, do I never hear Mother's voice?" Odin sighs and casts his eyes downwards at the mention of Frigga, Thor continues his plea, "This is not for Evelyn, Father. She does not know what I came here to say." Odin sits down on the throne behind him, "Now, forbid me to see her or say she can rule at my side. It changes nothing."

Odin states truthfully, "One son who wanted the Throne too much, another who will not take it. Is this my legacy?"

Thor tells Odin, Sue just silently listens as she kneels to the king, "Loki died with honour. I shall try to live the same. Is that not legacy enough?" Odin nods, then Thor looks down to Mjölnir and offers it back to Odin.

Odin waves it off, "It belongs to you." He quickly adds, "If you are worthy of it."

Thor promises, "I shall try to be."

Odin shakes his head, "I cannot give you my blessing, nor can I wish you good fortune."

Thor nods understandably, "I know." Thor turns around and starts to leave.

Odin stops Thor by saying, "If I were proud of the man my son had become, even that, I could not say." Thor slowly turns around to Odin, "It would speak only from my heart." He smiles a bit and nods towards the exit, "Go, my son."

Thor nods and smiles a bit, "Thank you, father." Thor turns to leave again but Sue stops him.

Sue speaks up, "I'd like to join him your majesty?"

Thor looks back at Sue in disbelief, "What?"

Sue doesn't answer Thor but explains herself to the king, "What I'm trying to say is that; I'd like a fresh start, your highness, in creating a new adventure for myself."

Odin questions, "A fresh start, Lady Sue?"

Sue nods, she takes a breath, "Yes." She stands up, "A fresh start to do something different with my life, to explore more of what the universe has to offer."

Odin asks Sue knowingly, "Starting with Earth?" Sue nods, "What's become of this?"

Sue looks down sadly, "Loki." Odin blinks in surprise but knowingly, Sue looks up as she admits, "With Loki gone, I don't know how to be here." Odin tilts his head a bit, questionably, "I have changed since I've returned from Earth, I can see that I can learn and do more out there then here." Thor smiles a bit as he looks and hears Sue from behind her, he's very proud of the women she has become, "Asgard will always be my home, I just need some time and space from it for a while."

Odin questions Sue, "What of your sister?"

Sue answers, "My sister Sif will understand my decision, once she knows my reason."

Odin asks Sue, "And that is?"

Sue takes a second before answering, "Freedom."

Odin sighs silently thinking before telling Sue, "I give you permission to leave, as you are always welcomed here."

Sue inhales surprised, "Thank you, your majesty." She bows respectfully with her right arm across her chest before turning around and leaves with Thor by her side.

Odin watches Sue and Thor depart front the room, then transforms to reveal it was Loki alive and well on the throne all along, Loki smiles devilishly, saying lowly, "No, thank you."
