Same Night: Asgard
Bifrost Bridge 🏹Thor and Sue walk along the rainbow bridge towards the newly build Bifrost chamber.
~
Inside: Bifrost Observatory 🏹🔭Thor and Sue approaches Heimdall, the all-seeing of the Nine Realms and the Bifrost guardian and keeper as he stands on the control panel, holding the Bifrost sword, watching over the universe.
Heimdall states to them, "You're late."
Thor tells Heimdall as he and Sue walk towards him, "Merriment can sometimes be a heavier burden than battle."
Heimdall tells them, "Then you're both doing one of them incorrectly."
Thor laughs a bit, "Perhaps. How fare the stars?" Sue separates from Thor's side as they both walk around the Bifrost panel, Thor to the left and Sue on the right.
Heimdall answers, "Still shining. From here Sue and I can see nine realms and ten trillion souls." Sue stops and her eyes changes to golden-yellow like Heimdall's, who drives his sword into the control panel in the center of the observatory, the walls start moving a bit. Heimdall looks to Sue, "You are getting better, Lady Sue. How's the sight been treating you?"
Sue looks at Heimdall, her eyes going normal, "Its been treating me well. I've been practicing more, getting better at controlling it. It's overwhelming at times."
Heimdall assures Sue, "It will pass in time. Keep practicing and you will understand that having the foresight can be a heavy burden but with your stubbornness and determination, you will have it in no time." Sue smiles in appreciation.
Thor asks Sue confused, "Sue. I don't understand, why?" He's asking her why she wanted to learn about the foresight and getting the abilities like Heimdall.
Sue looks and tells Thor, "Because when we were on Earth, I almost died-" Thor looks down sadly, remembering that day very well, "-because I couldn't see that last Chitauri coming." Sue smiles sadly, "I'm not going to let something like that happen again." Thor glances at her sadly, she notices his look, "Thor." He looks at her, "I wanted this, I needed this." She's trying to make him understand, "I want to serve and protect my home in anyway I can."
Thor tells Sue as he smiles, "I have a bad habit in underestimating you, Sue." Sue smiles and looks down.
Heimdall interrupts and looks at Thor, "Do you recall what I taught you of the Convergence?"
Thor answers as he steps up and looks out in space through the opening, "Yes. The alignment of the worlds. It approaches, doesn't it?" Sue walks closer to them.
Heimdall explains, "The universe hasn't seen this marvel since before my watch began. Few can sense it. Even fewer can see it." He looks at Sue, she shakes her head, he looks back in space, "But while it's effects can be dangerous, it is truly beautiful." Sue's eyes changes to golden-yellow again, looking out in the stars.
Thor tells them, lightly, "I see nothing."
Sue looks at Thor and tells him knowingly, "Or perhaps, that is not the beauty you seek."
Thor chuckles for a moment, before stepping closer as he looks out in space, "How is she?" He's asking about Evelyn.
Heimdall answers with a light smile, "She's quite clever, your mortal. She doesn't know it yet, but she studies the Convergence as well." He looks and steps down, "Even..." He cuts himself off as he looks up with a frown, confused.
