Chapter 19 -

"Megan! I can explain!" I panicked.

"What is their to explain? I'm more angry than I am fangirling right now. You didn't even have the decency to tell your best friend that you're dating Josh Hutcherson!?" Megan shouted at me.

"Megan, I'm sorry. We were gonna tell you..." I trailed off.

Suddenly, a herd of girls invaded us. Megan gave me a look and walked back out of the restaurant.

"Megan!" I shouted from inside of the group of girls.

She kept on walking, until I could no longer see her.

"Come on!" Josh grabbed my arm and pulled me through the crowd of girls.

...

Back at my apartment complex, reporters were swarming outside of the building.

Jake linked his fingers with mine and started walking.

"Josh! Who is this girl?" one reporter shouted.

Jake ignored their questions and continued marching into the building.

"Is this a girlfriend?" another shouted at us.

"Josh! What sort of relationship do you have with this girl?" another shouted.

Jake was done with all of the questions.

"Yes, she is my girlfriend. No more questions, please," Jake ran inside and to the elevator.

Jake took me up to my room.

"I better go pack, and try to make up with my best friend," I said.

"I'm sorry, Caitlyn." Jake kissed me on the cheek.

I opened the door and went inside.

"Megan!?" I shouted, looking around for my best friend.

I heard a moan from across the room.

"Megan, let me explain!" I sat by Megan on the couch.

She ignored me, got up, and went into her room. She slammed the door behind her.

"Megan, I'm sorry. Jake didn't want anyone to know, until he knew that we were serious. Well, we are now," I started.

She started humming, pretending to listen to music.

"Megan! I'm leaving to California tomorrow!" I shouted through the door.

She stopped humming, and she flung open the door.

"What!?" Megan glared at me.

"I'm moving to California," I said, quieter this time.

"You didn't think of telling me, until now?" Megan was furious now.

"I didn't know until now!" I shouted back.

"I can't believe you. You're leaving your best friend for some boy you just met a couple days ago," Megan slammed the door again.

"He's not just some boy!" I ran into my room and threw myself on my bed.

I started crying.

I can't believe her. Shouldn't best friends support your decisions, no matter what?

I got up and grabbed my suitcase out of my closet. I went over to my drawers, and threw as many clothes as I could fit into my suitcase.

My phone buzzed. It was a text from Jake.

From Jake:
How are things with Megan? She still mad?

To Jake:
Yah...By the way, I can't fit all of my clothes into my suit case.

From Jake:
My driver is taking my car back to LA and you can throw an extra suitcase or two in there.

To Jake:
Okay. Should I just bring all three of my suitcases with me tomorrow, then?

From Jake:
Yah. We can load them in my car and then drop off the other one off at the luggage drop-off at the airport.

To Jake:
Kk.

From Jake:
I better go finish packing. Night!

To Jake:
Night!

I loaded up two more suitcases and a carry-on bag.

After I finished packing, I got in bed and fell asleep, crying, knowing I would miss my best friend.
