Second Afterlife Chapter 11

--------Karin's POV--------

When I finally woke up, Rangiku was gone and everyone else was fanning me. There was a towel on my forehead. "What happened?" I asked no one in particular.

Orihime looked at me and said, "Rangiku hugged you so hard that you passed out." Now I remember. Rangiku saw me and ran over to give me a hug.

"How long have I been out?" I asked Orihime. She looked at the clock then told me about 9 hours. I just stared at the clock. How has it been nine hours. It only felt like 2 hours.

"Karin, you're awake!" I heard someone scream. Then I felt a pair of arms around me. There is no way that I would ever be able to forget these arms, or that white hair. When he finally let go he just stared at me.

"Toshiro, you're awake. How long have you been..." before I could finish, his lips touched mine. When he pulled back he answered my question.

"I woke up about fifteen minutes after you passed out. I woke up and saw everyone fanning you, and a towel on your head. I asked everyone what had happened, and they told me everything." I looked at him for about 2 minutes before speaking.

"Aren't you mad at Rangiku?" He shook his head. "Why not?" I asked, sounding disappointed, when I wasn't. Toshiro just shrugged his shoulders.

"I just can't stay mad at my lieutenant. She didn't know what she was doing. It doesn't surprise me though. She is always so oblivious to her surroundings. Funny thing though, when she is drunk, she is more aware of her surroundings." That made me laugh. To think that Rangiku is the opposite of every other person in the human world and the Soul Society.

Then a thought popped into my head. "Toshiro, does Byakuya know?" He nodded. "Oh no. Now he is going to tell the Soul Society, or worse, Ichigo." Toshiro just shook his head.

"Byakuya already swore to secrecy. He won't be able to tell a soul unless we say it is ok. Now, Karin, I have been meaning to ask you something."

--------Toshiro's POV--------

"Byakuya already swore to secrecy. He won't be able to tell a soul unless we say it is ok. Now, Karin, I have been meaning to ask you something." I said as I started to pull out the small blue box out of my gigai's pant pocket. I heard everyone in the room gasp, especially Karin. I have been waiting for this for a week now.

"Karin Kurosaki, will you marry me, Toshiro Hitsugaya?" Tears were streaming down her face. I caught a glimpse of everyone else in the room. Byakuya had a tear rolling down his face (Shocking), Urahara gave me a nod, and Orihime was just so hysterical.

Karin stared at me through watery eyes and nodded. I was just so happy. I picked up Karin and spun her around. I then proceeded to put the ring on her finger. Now how are we going to tell Ichigo, Isshin, and Yuzu about this? I know that Isshin and Yuzu will be so happy, Ichigo however, will be harder to please of this. I then came up with an idea.

"Karin, if we tell Ichigo this all at once, he will kill me, won't he?" She nodded and looked at me with a confused look. "Well, I have and idea. What about we tell Ichigo that you are getting married, but don't tell him anything until the wedding. At that point, he can't do anything about it. We can have Yoruichi, Urahara, Orihime, Rangiku, and Byakuya around hi so if he freaks out, we can control him." She had the biggest smile on her face.

"That is a great idea, Toshiro," she said, then kissed my cheek.

"Thanks, Karin"
