It's funny how I put a drachma in my pocket, like I was foreshadowing my death. I grasp the coin as I walk towards the ferryman. I am distracted by a golden light coming from the left. I glance over to see the figure of a tall man walking toward me. As he comes closer, I notice he has the same color hair as me. And the large forehead. And my eyes. Wait-
"Piper," he whispers.
"Get away from me, you asshole," I growl, backing up.
"I just want to talk to you-"
"There's nothing to say. You abandoned me and mom and left us in poverty for years. All that time without even one sign that you were there."
"I had no choice. Being with you and your mother was making me human, and I couldn't risk that."
I huff angrily, and turn away.
"I understand your feelings for me. I just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you. You lived a full life and died a hero's death. I love you."
I turn and smile.
