Chapter 16: Primis Begins

3 Crazy Place (Ancients)

The Crazy Place was the name given to an odd, small realm. Parts of it were made of pure Element 115 that was gathered by the Ancients. They made the Element 115 elemental in nature, but it would be their undoing. The furthest four corners of the realm represented fire, lightning, wind, and ice. After the events of the Great Battle of the Apothicon invasion, the Crazy Place continued to exist only as a quarantine for the Ancient zombies there.

4 Beta Realm (Origins)

The Beta Realm diverged from the Alpha Realm sometime in the 19th Century. The defining characteristic of this realm was that the four children that had the potential to change the world, Maxis, and Group 935 came into existence nearly half a century earlier than they had in the Alpha Realm. In the 1900's, Edward Richtofen attended Heidelberg University, and there he met Doctor Ludvig Maxis. Richtofen was a bit disturbed after his parents died, and Maxis consoled Richtofen. They became good friends, and Maxis became a sort of fatherly figure to Richtofen. World War I began on July 28, 1914, consisting of the United Kingdom, Russian Empire, Japan, and many more, as the Allies, and Germany, Austria-Hungary, and many more, as the Central Powers. In this realm, Maxis was already an old man by the time of World War I. He worked for Mauser, a weapons manufacturer, and he developed designs for weapons. On January 5, 1915, he finalized the prototype design for the Mauser CX-Series as well as an attached scope. Eventually out of that series came the Mauser C96. In the same year, another weapon was designed, the MG08/15.

By this time, a research organization known as Group 935 formed. Group 935 developed technologies and researched bizarre sciences. Maxis left Mauser to bring his genius to Group 935. However, Group 935 was led by a council, and their largest client was the German government, who wanted Group 935 to help them win the war. Maxis encouraged Doctor Edward Richtofen to join Group 935 as well, and he worked alongside Maxis. The two became good friends and colleagues. In 1917, in Maxis's research, he catalogued aspects of various elements, and he came across one that was new to him and Group 935, Element 115. Since the element still lacked a proper name, Maxis decided to name it Divinium, after its amazing properties. He showed it to the leaders of Group 935, and they invested more research into it. Beginning this year, Russia underwent a revolution that would eventually end with them pulling out of World War I as the Soviet Union. The United States entered World War I on the side of the Allies on April 6, 1917.

Group 935 found out about the Knights Templar and their relation to Element 115. So they set up many excavation sites to try to uncover Element 115. Excavation Site 64 in Northern France, near Bar-le-Duc, was particularly promising. Within it they found the ruins of the Templars. They also unearthed large quantities of pure blue Element 115. Maxis and Richtofen were stationed at Excavation Site 64.

Maxis

The ancient texts describe an artifact known to them as the Amplification Rod. It is my firm belief item is instrumental to harnessing the energy of the elemental stones. Unfortunately, neither the rod, nor the stones, have been recovered from any of our dig sites. I feel we must push forward regardless. As such, I have drawn up plans to make replica rods based on the descriptions from the main chamber. I will instruct Richtofen to begin fabrication immediately.

In their research of the Templars, Maxis learned of the elemental staffs created long ago, however he could not find them. So he designed plans for replicas based on what he knew. He gave the designs to Richtofen so he could create the required parts.

Researching Element 115 continues to yield unseen results. The conversion process creates localized energy fields, which appear to function as portals, bringing forth objects of indeterminate origin. It is my hypothesis, however outlandish, that this transferral of matter may actually be occurring through space and time. I believe the answer may lay with the broken rune stones, located at the mound. Perhaps, channeling sufficient energy into the conversion generators, to their location, may prove fruitful.
