As I was getting to class I could hear some girls talking about the dance last night. As it got to phys Ed I heard Caroline talking about the dance. Melanie as well. After we finished class, we walked out the door. Reece was by his locker flipping through a book. I walked by. Casually just trying to get him to notice me.
"Hey !Scarlett ." Reece said. I turned around acting like I didn't see him at first.

"Oh hi Reece I didn't know you had a locker ." I said.

"Yeah They let a bunch of students who are in sports have one.. But anyways .. How are you ?" Reece asked.

"I'm good." I said as I smiled. He smiled back as he shyly looked away.

"Hey listen, would you wanna do something tonight ?" Reece asked.

"Uhh I mean .. If I feel like it.." I said as I was joking around.

"If you feel like it? " Reece said as he laughed.

"Sure I'd like to." I replied as I smiled
At him.

"How bout I text- oh wow .. I just realized I don't even have your number .. " Reece said. I handed my phone to him. He put it in.

"So whatcha thinking ?" I asked.

"Something simple, would you wanna have a little picnic at the beach .. It's literally a 10 minute walk away from the academy." Reece suggested.

"Yeah ." I replied softly. A beach date ?!? Heck yessss I thought in my head trying not to cry.

"Okay well I gotta bring my stuff back to my dorm then we can go." Reece said. I went back to my dorm. I changed my clothes. Fixed my hair a bit. And met Reece outside. We walked to the beach. He asked me some stuff .. So did I.

"Hey so I have a question." I said. He nodded.

"I've noticed Caroline really likes you and hates when other girls talk to you.... Did you guys used to date or have a thing going on..?" I asked. Reece laughed.

"Yeah me and Caroline used to kind of have a thing but then I realized I didn't like her anymore but she doesn't care.. She just keeps trying to throw any girl that I like out of the way .." Reece said. Interesting to know. We got to the beach.
