Private School

A bittersweet realization (LAST PART OF THE BOOK)haha finally.

Why are they making this so hard to deal with . The next day Kayden basically ignored me. Zac kinda ignored me as well.  Whatever. So prom was coming up. Reece showed up to my dorm and we went to the place. It was on campus. We took pics and whatnot and then went to a table.

"This is stil kinda weird to me." I said.

"Yeah I know- Umm wanna dance ?" Reece asked.

"Yeah sure." I said. It was a slow song. Other people were dancing too. As we were slow dancing I saw Zac and some girl slow dancing. Then I saw Kayden and some other girl slow dancing. I felt someone bump me.

"Oh whoops." Zac said.

"Very funny." I said.

Then I saw Zac bump Kayden.

"Dude why are you bumping into me. Bump into Reece and Scarlett or something." I heard Kayden say because he was nearby.

"Can you two kindly fuck off? Focus on your dates instead of pushing me and Reece." I said to Zac and Kayden. This was some middle school shit.

We finally got away.

"hey so we never really got to talk. " Reece said.

"Yeah .." I said.

"Anyways so I clearly still like you and I wanna be with you. Do you feel the same?" Reece said.

"... I mean I guess I've always still liked you.." I said. He smiled.

After prom me and Reece reconnected more.

Graduation came up. My parents attended and took photos. You know . All that jazz. The next day As I was packing my stuff from my dorm to take home there were flowers sent to my dorm.

I think they were congratulatory flowers from my parents. So yeah. I returned home. Went to college. Me and Reese dated for like 4 years. Then it started changing. I wasn't that happy in the relationship. But I didn't know how to tell him. But I eventually did and we broke up.

One day I was walking down the street to get some air. As I was walking I saw someone who looked familiar. He was getting out his car.

"Kayden?.." I asked.

"Scarlett ? The one I went to school with " he replied.

"Haha yeah... I'm not sure if you remembered me or not.." I said.

"Uh yeah I still do. Haha." Kayden replied. It got a little awkward.

"Uh so wow it's been what? 4 years since we've seen eachother ? How are you?" I asked.

"I'm good I'm good. How about you? " Kayden said.

"Me oh I'm ... doing just great!" I said kinda lying.

"Alright that's good to hear. So how's Reece ?" Kayden asked.

"He's umm good. Hey I just remembered I didn't get to take graduation pictures with you or Zac -" I said.

"Oh yeah ... I mean I think at that time we were probably all beefing or something ." Kayden said.

"Yeah. .." I said. It got a bit awkward again.

"Oh so did you get them?" Kayden  asked me.

"Get what?" I asked.

"Oh so you didn't ?" He said.

"Didn't get what?" I asked.

"The flowers." Kayden said. .... oh I guess I didn't notice.

"Wait , the flowers were from you?" I asked as I was in shock.
