Cordial

Couple days passed. I was still in the hospital. So was Catherine. I just wanted to leave already. Catherine was pretty popular. Like most people around campus knew her. I saw like some nurses and people with balloons and gifts walking past the room I was in to go to hers and give her gifts from all these people. Meanwhile, I didn't receive any.

I was watching tv in the certain room. Zac walked in .

"Wow Catherine's room has so many gifts compared to yours." Zac said.

... okay he didn't need to make me feel like I'm a loser. Just saying.

"Yeah well I guess it's fine. " I said.

Zac kinda hesitated.

"... here." Zac said as he handed me something.

"What,... ? " I said confused.

"I was gonna give these flowers to Catherine but she already has a shit ton of stuff." Zac said.

"...no . I don't want your hand me down flowers . Just give them to her like you said you were." I said .

"... okay then I'll give them to her later."zack sAid.
Zac started laughing.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"You called them hand me down flowers" Zac said as he laughed.

"Oh.." I said . I guess I'm a comedian or something.

"So why are you here again?" I asked.

"Can't I be nice and check up on you?" Zac said.

"Okay then." I replied.

"Look, I don't want no awkward tension. Let's just be cordial with each other even though you screwed me over many times.. I'm gonna let it go." I said.

"Okay cool!" Zac said like it was nothing .

"Ohkay then-" I said.

So yeah a couple days passed and I was released from the hospital .

I had to reschedule one of my tests since I was in the hospital. They recommended me to get tutored by another student for a little since the teacher couldn't Reteach the certain unit. Ugh. I hate getting tutored. I'm already super smart but they forced me and gave me a note and I apparently must show them it got stamped.
So some people have scheduled times they get tutored. Mine was around 5 pm. I was waiting outside of the small booth where it takes place. There are many booths with different tutors.

So this girl left. I walked in.
"Umm , are you Kayden? I asked as I peaked my head in.

"Yeah ." He replied.

Oh shoot. He was actually cute.

"You can sit here." He said.
I sat down.
"What's your name?" Kayden asked.

"Oh, I'm Scarlett ." I replied.

"Alright so what are we working on?" Kayden asked.

"Math but-" I said and then got interrupted.

"Hey Kayden !" This girl said as she walked in.

I was a bit confused. I guess it was a group tutoring session.

"Hey, britt you can have a seat at that table over there." Kayden said. Good thing that girl didn't sit at my table.
I saw her pull out a bio textbook. I guess he tutors different subjects."

So he went and sat with that britt girl for a bit and helped her. I didn't care cause it's not hard for me to teach myself math.
He walked over to me after 30 minutes.

"Hey , hows it going?" He asked.

"Fine." I said.

"Oh well do you need help on anything yet?" Kayden asked.

"Yeah umm question 7." I sAid. He read it.

"Okay so first you have to find what x is so just substitute that number in here first and then this will help you find the other number as well." Kayden said.

I already knew what I was doing, I just wanted to see if he was smart himself.
"Sorry to interrupt but I'm leaving now. Thanks for helping me out Kayden!" Britt said and left.
The session ended shortly after.

I was packing my stuff. So was Kayden.

"Hey, can I ask?" I sAid.

"Uh Yeah ... what?" Kayden replied.

"Why do you tutor people ? I asked.

"Oh... umm Idk It's just to help me earn extra credit ." Kayden said.

"Oh.. " I replied.

"Oh yeah, I needa stamp your note." Kayden said as he got a stamp. I gave him the note.

".. alright , here's the note." Kayden said.

"Thanks." I sAid as I grabbed the note and kinda touched his hand.

"Where are you going after this?" Kayden asked me.

"I don't know , probably back to my dorm." I replied.

"Oh. " Kayden said as if what I said was lame.

"What?. Are you going to a party to drink your problems away and talk to girls?" I asked.

"Haha what?? Drink and talk to girls?what kind of a person do you think I am?? .............Well you're exactly right actually ." Kayden said As he laughed.

"K I'm gonna head out already." I sAid.

"Scarlett !"Kayden said.

I turned around.

"Come to the party." Kayden said As he smiled.

"... umm I'll pass." I sAid.

"Okay then. I guess I'll see you tomorrow then." Kayden said. I left .
