there once was a girl
in a very small city
but this girl was happy
so please give no pity

now this town she had come from
was really, quite small
only 9 in her class
12,000 overall

so this girl didn't know
about the rest of the world
how people really were
or how stories unfurled

this girl made a move
to a place with more people
to broaden her mind
and she learned when able

she made great new friends
at school and at home
and had many great times
and was never alone

she learned about people
and many new things
of friendship and bullies
of countries and kings

she stayed for a year
but could stay no longer
but this change was good
and it made her stronger

she went back to her town
small in size and in mind
but was not very angry
cause the people were kind
