Ghoul laid down on his bed, looking up at the ceiling. He couldn't sleep. It was midnight and he felt hot and bothered. He thought about all sorts of things and he felt incredibly high on information. He turned on the lamp beside him and he pulled himself up and rested on his elbow as he rubbed his face.
He felt sweat running down his back as he stood up from his bed and made his way to the bedroom door. Before doing so, he passed a mirror. He looked at himself for a while, examining his features. He looked at the exposed tattoos on his torso and arms. Then, he looked away and headed toward his bedroom door once more.
Ghoul made his way to the bathroom and turned on the lights, then the faucet. He let the could water run through his hands and then, he splashed some onto his face. Once again, he looked into the mirror. This time, he examined his face. He looked at his chicken pox scar, his hazel eyes, his five o'clock shadow, and his short hair. Then, he splashed his face with water once more.
After that, he headed towards the kitchen for a glass of water. After he drank some water, he went out for a smoke, but before he could open the door, he saw Agent on the phone. He seemed to be arguing with someone. Ghoul decided to eavesdrop.
"I'm working on it!" Agent spat into the phone,"It's not that fuckin' easy!"
Ghoul wondered who he was talking about.
"Y'know that chick that hangs around with them?" Agent continued, "I got her right around my finger. in fact, almost everyone is where I want them to be... Well, everyone except Fun Ghoul."
Ghoul's eyes widened as he listened more and more.
"That guy is suspicious and I don't know what to do, he's on my tail all the time and I can't shake him off... Now that I've got his girl, it can go one of two ways: he could kill me or he could leave us alone once he realizes that Diamond is happy with me."
Ghoul felt his face go red and his hands turned into fists but before he could act, he heard footsteps behind him. So, he tried his best to act natural.
Diamond walked into the kitchen and smiled.
"What are you doing up?" she smiled at Ghoul.
"I couldn't sleep," he answered, "so, I got some water."
"Me too,"she replied, looking passed Ghoul, "Do you know where Agent is?"
"Yeah, he's outside on the phone."
"With who?" Diamond asked as she looked out the window.
"I don't know," Ghoul answered, "but, he sounds pissed."
"Oh," she said as she turned to face Ghoul.
"Yeah..."
"Well, I guess I'll just get some water and be on my way."
"Okay," he smiled slightly.
"By the way," Diamond started, "I've never seen your tattoos before... I didn't know you had this many." She smirked as she said so.
Ghoul smiled wider, "Oh yeah, umm, I guess I don't really take my shirt off too often."
They smiled at each other and went their separate ways. Ghoul walked back to his bedroom and Diamond went back to hers.
Ghoul laid down on his bed and stared at the ceiling. So many thoughts ran through his head and he didn't know what to feel. He felt a flush of happiness because it had been the first time in a week or so that Diamond has actually talked to him and noticed him but, he felt angry that the guy she was with was a backstabbing asshole that didn't deserve her. All this made Ghoul's brain hurt and he felt restless. He wanted to expose Agent for who he really was but, he didn't want to hurt Diamond in the process. Plus, who would really believe him?
