Here's Chapter 3!
Perrie's POV:
How could Jade be back? Seeing her again brought back so much pain, the pain that I had built a wall up against. It broke, and now I felt tears prick my eyes. "Miss Edwards, you alright?" Jesy asked. "Fine," I snapped. "Show Miss Thirlwall where she will be working, I have something else that I need to attend to." And with that, I turned around, and stormed off the way I came.
I pushed open a hidden door behind one of the big staircases, and stepped inside. This is where I came when I felt over whelmed, or ever needed to just think. I came often. I sat down on the floor, and pounded my fist on the floor.
"Jade, why must you haunt me? You broke me, and now you expect me to forget all the pain and suffering I went through? Am I supposed to forget my depression you caused all those years ago? Well I didn't! I tried, but you just had to come back into my life somehow, didn't you?" I sat there, rocking back and forth, my knees up to my chest.
In the time I was there, I had come up with only one conclusion. "I still love you Jade."
Jade's POV:
How could Perrie not act like she recognized me? She didn't really say hi, she didn't hug me, she didn't even smile at me! I could see in her eyes, that flicker of recognition, she is remembered me, yet she treated me like a stranger. I hurt, a lot.
"Miss Thirlwall? Are you even listening to me?" The assistant, I think she said her name was Leigh-Anne, asked. "Oh, sorry, I was thinking about something else," I confessed. "What was it?" Leigh-Anne asked. "Just thinking of my home back in South Shields, I haven't visited in a while," I said. "Oh." Leigh turned back to the door.
"As I was saying, this is your office. It has a door inside that connects to Miss Edwards' office. The door must stay open at all times, unless Miss Edwards needs to take a private call, or have a private conversation. That is the only time that door will shut, understand?" Leigh-Anne said.
"I think I got it all," I answered. "Good. There will be a staff meeting in about an hour; so that everyone can meet you." Leigh-Anne started to leave, then turned around. "Oh yeah, welcome to Techrider Incorperated, Jade." With that, she left.
I turned around, and let my hand graze over the polished doorknob. Perrie had down some nice work since I left. I opened the door, and gasped. "Wow." My office had a desk on one end of the room, and there was a giant bookshelf, filling up one wall. A table, with some fruit and water was on the other side of the room. Behind my new and amazing looking desk, a giant window looked down on the city streets below. Big curtains hung on either side, so I could close them if I wanted to.
"This is amazing," I whispered, as I let my hand travel on my polished desk, stopping at my plaque. It read, "Jade Thirlwall, assistant to Perrie Edwards." My fingers traced over Perrie's name. "Oh Perrie," I whispered, "why won't you talk to me?"
Was it because I had left her, all those years ago? Was she really that hurt? I had left her a voicemail, that explained where we had gone, and why. It said that I was sorry that I couldn't tell her this in person, but that I was I love with her. I had been since we were thirteen. It said that I wished her good luck with the rest of life, and that I would come back to her, no matter what. Had she not gotten my voicemail?
"Perrie, I never stopped loving you," I whispered into thin air. My whispers faded into nothingness, and I sank into my soft chair, holding my head in my hands. "I wish I had never left." I suddenly remembered the day when Perrie and I were kids, and we had made a promise to each other. "I broke our promise Perrie," I said. "How could I be so stupid?"
That was Chapter 3 all! Hope you enjoyed it! The chapters will get longer, just not yet.
