Okay guys, here's a new chapter!
Jade's POV:
"Hey Miss Thirlwall," Leigh-Anne said as I walked out of the elevator. "Good morning, Miss Pinnock," I smiled at her, and went into my office.
I sat down at my desk, and ran my hands over the smooth oak. No sooner then I had settled in, Perrie walked through the doorway connecting our offices. "Miss Thirlwall, a moment please?" She asked, running her hand through her gorgeous blonde locks.
"Of course Miss Edwards, what is it?" I asked, with the same curt time she had used on me. An emotion that I would later realize was pain flashed across her face for a second, then her face was back to being that serious.
Perrie gestured for me to follow her into her office. I stepped inside her office, and breathed in deep. Perrie's scent was everywhere. "Have a seat, please Miss Thirlwall," Perrie said, gesturing to the seat opposite to where she now sat.
I sat down, and placed my hands delicately on my lap. "Miss Thirlwall, Techrider incorporated is very close to being closed down. This is because of the fact that we've been around for a while, and we're old news. Nobody comes to us for technology anymore," Perrie said.
I nod. "What do you have in mind, Miss Edwards?" I ask. "There have been many suggestions that the boss and her assistant if Techrider incorporated, along with other people of course, would travel the US, spreading news the old-fashioned way, by adds in newspapers, and booths outside stores. Our main focus is in cities and even states that have either forgotten us altogether, or have never heard of us. Any questions?" Perrie asked as she finished her speech.
"How would the living space be accounted for?" I asked. "We have rented quite a few 'tour busses' as you will know them by. You and I will share a smaller bus, and the others will be in the larger busses," Perrie said. My head was pounding. Share the same bus as Perrie? Be in such close quarters for... "How long will this 'tour' of sorts be over?" I asked.
"This will be for about seven months," Perrie answered. "Any other questions, Miss Thirlwall?"
"Not at this moment," I answered. "Good," Perrie answered. "We leave for the trip in a week. Pack a maximum of three suitcases for the trip, and bring them to the front of our bus by Wednesday."
"Alright Miss Edwards," I said. "You may leave now," Perrie said sharply. I sadly stood up, and turned to go. I felt a hand snatch my wrist, and I was whirled back around, to face Perrie. "If you ever need anything," she said softly, and I felt something pressed into my palm. Perrie closed my fingers around it, and gave me a swift, and unexpected hug.
Once Perrie let go, she smiled at me, the first real smile I had seen since I first saw her. "Bye Jade," she said, and turned around. I took this as my cue to leave, and I did. I sat back down at my desk, and looked at the piece of paper Perrie had pressed into my palm. It was a hastily scribbled phone number, and a message.
(207)-554-3907
Jade, if you need anything at all, just call me. I promise not to shut you out.
- Perrie
I smiled at the paper, and the note. Had Perrie really forgiven me? No, that was too much to ask. I think that she was slowly working on trusting her once best friend again. I pulled out my phone, and made a contact.
"You have no idea how much this means to me Perrie," I whispered into thin air.
When I got home that night, I decided to text Perrie. I needed to work things out.
To Perrie❤️❤️: Look Perrie, we really need to talk about what happened all those years ago. I need a chance to explain myself. Please meet me tomorrow evening at the cafe across from the Museum. I miss you?
-Jade
"There," I sighed as I sent it. I had no idea what to expect. Most likely, Perrie would blow this off. "I need you," I said to my phone. I needed Perrie so bad. It was like a part of me was missing. I get a text back from her a little while later.
Perrie❤️❤️: I guess so. Why don't we have a little chat at my place, instead of at that cafe? More private that way. How about I pick you up around 7?
Jade: Sounds good. See you tomorrow.
Perrie's POV:
Jade💗: Sounds good. See you tomorrow.
How was I going to let her explain herself without bursting into tears? What explanation could she possibly have for just leaving me without a word? "Now you have to go brush your teeth Perrie," I said to myself, to help my tired body get up and pad slowly into my bathroom.
I brushed my teeth, while thinking of what Jade could possibly have to say in explanation. I washed my face, and slipped into a soft pair of pajamas. "Sweet dreams Jadey," I whispered to no one in particular as the world faded into black, and I sank into a sleep haunted by dreams of Jade.
I'm so sorry for not updating in a while, I kind of had to watch around an hour of Jerrie moments before finding the motivation to finish this chapter. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy! Love you all!
