Laura's POV
I receive a text from Maggs. It's a picture of her and Noel.
Me: Awww:*<3
M: IKR?
Me: Have you kissed yet?
M: Shut up!
Me: Have you???
M: NO!!
After texting Maggs for a minute I get on my computer and watch YouTube. I decide on My Little Pony modded Cops N Robbers.
After watching YouTube, I go downstairs to get a snack. I come across Melon.
"What do you want?" she says, with the most attitude possible.
You little b****, I think to myself. Leave me alone!! Goodness!!
"Leave me alone," I snap.
"Really?" She raises her eyebrows. "Leave you alone?"
I open the fridge, grab a bottle of apple juice and some chips from the counter. "Yes," I say.
"Too bad."
I roll my eyes and stalk off to my room. I get back to see a text from Maggs. It reads: :*
Me: Did you?
Her: :)
Me: Is that a yes?
Her: Yup:)
Me: NO WAY!!!!
Her: Yes way! I gtg. Text ya later.
I decide to sneak out the window, down my rope I tied there once, and out to the woods.
Me: Rue, get out to the woods.
R: Why?
Me: Because I'm there. Come on!!
R: Okay, okay.
Rue submerges from the overgrowth of a bush.
"What?" she says.
"I needed someone to talk to," I say quietly.
"Okay. Talk away."
"Well, I...I don't want Maggs to move. I've known her forever and... Do you want her to move?"
"Not at all. It would be a totally different life without her."
"I know. I also... am... jealous of her. She kissed Noel tonight..."
"So?"
"I miss that..."
"I'll kill Josh."
"But..." Something lights up in my head. I have a perfect idea. "I have an idea!" Rue raises her eyebrows. "We should take Maggs, a ton of food, water, supplies, and live out here. Run away."
