                                                                                     *??? POV*

"Let the snow run red with the spilled blood of innocents..." a haunting voice echoed along the corridor, waiting for a reply.

"And let the gates of Heaven and Hell open at will for us." came the answering voice. The dungeon-like door opened and the shadowy kidnappers filed in with 4 bound and unconscious bodies. Each of the captured hybrids were thrown into separate cells. The doors shut and locked themselves, with their prisoners inside.

                                                                      *Short time skip*

One of the kidnappers snuck back into the complex, with notes for the team from which the hybrids had been taken from. This particular kidnapper was called Black Shadow, or Shade. Shade held the notes, and ran vertical up the wall of the complex and then jumped over the barbed wire at the top. He flapped his owl wings to keep from falling and breaking his bones. He was a Western screech owl, not as impressive in looks as a great horned owl or a barn owl, but he had a great and haunting call. His real name was Lero Kumagai, but he liked Black Shadow more. He hated his real last name, it was his father's surname. He didn't want anything to do with that family. They were well known to be scammers, and most shady companies, if you can even call them that, were owned by the family. Lero had always hated it. His classmates eyed him with distrust, and his family was always disappointed with him for not "living up to his family name", meaning scamming people out of their money. He had always wanted to be the good guy when he was remembered, not as a bad guy. It didn't matter. What ran in the family ran in him too. He ended up rigging his Choosing so that he would win no matter which slip was picked. He also chose a stealthy animal so he could kill and steal with ease. He took the notes and slipped them into the room of the leader, Mirah. He smiled, and flew away on silent wings.
