*Akyra's POV*

She walked into her room, her corgi tail swinging side to side in distress. Division 45 was almost dead, with 2 of the team missing, 2 apprentices missing, 1 hurt, and their leader was going to put herself into danger on Friday to save 4 hybrids! If she disapeared as well.... well there wouldn't be a division 45 left. The remaining members would be relocated, and would most likely never see each other again. Aedward might not even wake up from his coma! This is a total disaster, and nothing like what being a Chosen should be like!  She paced around the room, trying to figure out what it would be like if Mirah hadn't been her team leader, if she hadn't ever been in D.45, if she hadn't ever been Chosen! So many ifs were going through her head, when she finally noticed a piece of paper on her windowsill. She ran and grabbed it before it flew away, and then she noticed a hybrid flying away. What?!  The figure gave out a haunting call, and disapeared. Akyra knew that call. It was a.... it was a Western screech owl's call! He must be one of the Snowkillers!  She sprinted out of her room and towards Mirah's room.

*Mirah's POV*

Someone furiously knocked on her door. She sighed, got up, and opened the door to see Akyra with a note in one hand. She ran in, and Mirah closed the door.

"Mirah, I found this note on my windowsill, and I think one of the Snowkillers dropped it off, and the hybrid was a Western screech owl, and-" She paused for breath "and I think this is a cipher or a code or something like that. What does it say?"

"Akyra, I can't concentrate with you yelling at me like that. Take a break! Thanks for bringing me this, by the way. I hope I can find the answer soon, I have a feeling that this is what the Snowkillers want."
